Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is clearing the air about his rumored participation in Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
Several reports have claimed the politician will join Trump as his vice president in the ongoing election for the next U.S. head. However, RFK Jr., who hails from a renowned family of former senators and presidents, is unwilling to serve under anyone.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Refutes Viral VP Speculations
Kennedy broke his silence on the speculations about him campaigning as Trump's VP at the season 12 premiere of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
He attended the Los Angeles event with his wife, Cheryl Hines, who looked stunning in a red dress.
While posing for pictures at the venue, the couple stopped for an interview, and RFK Jr. was asked if he would ever consider serving as Trump's vice president. The question got a smirk from Hines before her husband swiftly shut down the speculations, saying, "I don't think that my marriage would survive it."
The lovebirds may have addressed the rumors privately, as Kennedy pointed at Hines with a sweet smile when answering. This prompted the interviewer to turn the mic to the blonde beauty, who added, "I think he's right." The rep for Variety then asked RFK Jr. to clarify if he only wished to run for president, and he agreed.
The 70-year-old began campaigning to be the next U.S. leader in April 2023 and initially ran for the Democratic party nomination. However, he changed teams in October 2023 by announcing his plans to join the Independent party.
Fast forward to January, sources close to Trump's party began spreading the possibility of Kennedy serving as the former president's running mate.
"Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature," one insider claimed, noting it was "right out of the box" since RFK Jr. announced he was running for president.

"Anything's possible. I wouldn't write it off by any means," the source continued. Other informants echoed similar sentiments with a significant donor to both Trump and Kennedy's campaigns adding:
"It's very much behind the scenes at this stage. As we progress, you might see it bubble up a little bit more. Bobby can bring new people to the polls."
Timothy Mellon, who has reportedly donated at least $5 million to Kennedy's SuperPAC, also told The New York Post: "I've heard the concept. It's not surprising." Given RFK Jr's refusal, these reports were way off the mark.
RFK Jr. Promotes Workout Challenge Amid Concerns For Other Presidential Candidates
Days before addressing the viral VP speculations, Kennedy's super PAC began promoting a fitness challenge for potential voters. This workout project was seemingly aimed at drawing more fans amid concerns about Trump and President Joe Biden's health.
However, RFK Jr. was blowing away any concerns about his physical and mental abilities at 70 with the AmericaMoves challenge. The project encouraged participants to get up and get active for at least 24 minutes daily.
Following the challenge would help them kickstart healthier habits for 2024 with the help of influencers like Devon Levesque, the first human to bear crawl a marathon, and renowned physician and author Dr. Mark Hyman.
American Values 2024 also noted the AmericaMoves project "has set out to ignite a wellness revolution." In their statement, they claimed RFK Jr.'s physical regimen inspired the fitness challenge.
As stated, Kennedy's workout scheme came at the heels of his competitors' health concerns. Trump and Biden's physical and mental fitness in the 2024 election contest have been questioned, with the former president getting criticized by GOP presidential rival Nikki Haley.
Trump was called out after he used Haley's name instead of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's at a New Hampshire rally weeks earlier. However, the 77-year-old fired back at the criticisms in another rally, saying: "My mind is stronger now than it was 25 years ago," which is the exact age gap between him and Haley.
Trump also attacked Biden, questioning his mental and physical fitness. According to the former president, the 80-year-old has shorter public appearances and needs help getting off the stage.
Biden has long been criticized for falling or tripping at public events and while boarding Air Force One. Nonetheless, his campaign team continues promoting his reinstatement as president, noting the 2024 race "is not going to be about age."
