On Tuesday, January 30, the "Toxic" singer teased a new project in the caption of an Instagram post that featured her dancing around her living room. "Tease for [a] new project coming up soon !!!!" she wrote in the caption. "SEX N DIAMONDS !!! PS swipe to see diamonds !!!" Fans who swipe are treated to a video of her dancing in a bejeweled outfit in her living room.
The announcement came shortly after Michelle Williams’ audio version of Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” earned an Audie Award nomination. The winners will be announced in a ceremony hosted in Los Angeles on March 4. The list of nominees includes many actors, including Tom Hanks, Alfr, Patrick Stewart, Sean Astin, Rosamund Pik, Daisy Ridley, Rita Wilson, Ego Nwodim, and Neil Patrick Harris are all nominated.
Sean McManus, president of the Audio Publishers Association, told People magazine, "Last year, we witnessed the art of human narration through outstanding and diverse audiobook productions, showcasing the talents of Oscar winners like Meryl Streep, profound storytelling from public figures such as Michelle Obama and the literary brilliance of Neil Gaiman. We’re also excited to announce our inaugural APA Choice recognition, a new honor celebrating some of the year's most compelling titles that became cultural phenomenons, including The Woman in Me from Britney Spears."
Britney Spears Said She Would Never Return To The Music Industry
Although it’s unclear what the announcement was about, earlier this month, the Princess of Pop made it clear that she had no plans to create a new album while shooting down the rumors that she was currently working on new music with pop icon Charli XCX. "Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash !!! They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry !!!" she wrote on Instagram earlier this month.
"When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!! For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads that you don’t know about me … I’ve written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!!" she explained. "I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way !!! People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that’s far from the truth … have you read the news these days ??? I’m so LOVED and blessed !!!"
Britney 'Really Likes' Her Ex Justin Timberlake's New Song 'Selfish'
Britney Spears shares message on Instagram and praises Justin Timberlake’s new song:
“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry... I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin… pic.twitter.com/NmPcRd4XUC

Although she deleted the initial post on Tuesday morning, over the weekend, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer admitted that she liked ex Justin Timberlake's new single, "Selfish," which, coincidentally, is also the name of a song from her 2011 Femme Fatale album.
“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry… I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish,’” she wrote in the caption of the deleted Instagram post. “It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too.”
Although some fans speculated that she was hacked, an insider revealed that Britney's praise was genuine. "Honestly she just wanted to wish him well. She really does like the song," an insider told People magazine. "She's a kind person."
"She genuinely just loves good music. She was curious about [Timberlake's] new tracks, and she really likes his new music,” a second source added. “Britney has a good heart and is full of compliments when she likes something. She always speaks her mind. That’s what's so special about her."
