Andy Reid appeared on the SiriusXM podcast 'Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gary', where he told Brady and Gray a fun story regarding his past with Taylor Swift.

“Yeah, listen, she's been great," the Chiefs head coach told the hosts of Taylor Swift, before dishing that he "knew her before" she started dating Travis Kelce from his time in Philadelphia.

"Her dad [Scott Swift] played at [University of] Delaware and was a big football fan and good guy,” Reid said while on the podcast. “So I had met him there and her.”

The head coach then joked that when he told Travis Kelce that he knew Taylor before the NFL star started dating her, he wasn't all that thrilled. "That was the last thing Trav wanted to hear, that I knew her before him," Reid said as he laughed. "She told him, ‘I know your coach' and he went, ‘Oh, God, come on!’"

As you know, the pop icon started dating the NFL star last summer, and the two went public in September after Taylor showed up to a Chiefs game to support Travis.

Ever since, many NFL fans have accused Taylor of being a distraction for the team, especially for Travis as his regular season numbers did not match up to years past. Andy Reid, however, is slamming those claims, stating that "there has been no distraction that way at all. And Trav’s handled it right, she's handled it right, and we just move forward."

Adding, "So it hasn't been a problem at all.”

Following the AFC Championship game, Taylor Swift was visibly happy for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, even telling the NFL star that she had "the best view ever" and that the game "was insane."

“I hope she enjoyed it," Reid told PEOPLE of the big game. "She's got a great guy she's dating right now, so I'm happy for both of them."

Although Taylor Swift has a show the night before in Tokyo, Japan, it is expected she fly to Vegas on her private jet immediately after the concert to support Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care," Swift previously told TIME Magazine.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 in Las Vegas.
