Three days ago, Kaitlin took to social media to share the heartbreaking news.

"Ah friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we’re in right now," the actor's wife began before explaining that on Monday, their daughter had been "admitted to the hospital with difficulty breathing."

According to the Mayo Clinc, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes infections of the lungs and respiratory tract. RSV can "cause severe infection in some people, including babies 12 months and younger (infants), especially premature infants, older adults, people with heart and lung disease, or anyone with a weak immune system (immunocompromised)," according to the research clinic.

"I am still struggling to believe this as I type," she admitted, before begging the public for prayers "for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body."

"We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms," she concluded.

Jordi Vilasuso's Daughter Remains In The Hospital

Last month, Kaitlin and Jordi announced the birth of their baby girl. "It is with overwhelming joy and the fullest of hearts that we welcome the answer to our prayers, our sweet Lucy Noelle," Kaitlin wrote on social media at the time, adding, "We have been waiting so long for you, little girl. ‘You are something between a dream and a miracle'."

"Thank you, beautiful friends and family, for the part you have played in this chapter," she continued. "I wish I could say that it was a purely faith-filled journey from our first loss until today, but God’s honest truth is that knowing you were holding our family in your prayers was often what got us through. I know I’ve said it before, but we are truly forever grateful."

On Sunday, January 28, Kaitlin shared a photo of Lucy to her Instagram Stories, showing her daughter still hooked up to breathing machines and in the hospital.
