Rap legend Snoop Dogg seemingly had a change of heart when it comes to his views on Former President Donald Trump.
As you know, the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' artist has been taking jabs at Trump for many years, including the time he aimed a gun at a clown dressed as Trump in his music video for 'Lavender'. The following year, in 2018, Snoop dropped 'Make America Crip Again' -- a reference to Trump's iconic slogan, 'Make America Great Again'.
Snoop also shared a video where he was seen outside the White House, smoking a blunt, and saying, "F--- the President." The video was released in 2018 -- a year in which Trump was serving as President of the United States.
But now it seems that what happened in the past is staying in the past, as Snoop is now saying he has "nothing but love and respect" for Trump.
Snoop Dogg Reveals His True Feelings On Donald Trump
In a new interview, Snoop Dogg praised the former President, saying, "Donald Trump? He ain't done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me."
He went on to commend Trump for pardoning Michael Harris, who is the co-founder of Snoop's first label, Death Row, and was in prison on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder for over three decades. “So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” the rapper added.
This comes after years of Snoop taking jabs at Donald Trump, including in 2020 when he stated, "Donald Trump is a f---ing weirdo. If you voted for him, I don't have no problem with that. But if you're still with him, f--- you."
Harris was released from prison in 2021.
Donald Trump Ordered To Pay E. Jean Carroll $83M
As The Blast previously reported, Donald Trump was in court to determine how much in damages he owed E. Jean Carroll for “injury to her reputation, humiliation and mental anguish in her public and private life” after he was found liable for sexually assaulting Carroll in the 1990s.
Earlier this week, the jury came to a verdict and awarded E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million from Trump for 2019 defamatory statements.
Following the news, the Former President of the United States, who was not in the courtroom at the time the verdict was read, was furious with the decision, calling it “Absolutely ridiculous!”
“I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party,” he continued, adding that, “our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment Rights. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!”
Trump must pay Carroll $11 million to fund “a reputational repair campaign” and $7.3 million for the emotional harm caused by his public statements. The 77-year-old must also pay $65 million in punitive damages for acting maliciously in making his statements.
The former President was previously found liable for sexually abusing Carroll in a New York department store in the 1990s, which she revealed in her memoir, ‘What Do We Need Men For?: A Modest Proposal'.
