President Joe Biden is currently facing criticism after mistakenly calling Donald Trump the "sitting president" while giving a speech in South Carolina about the economy.
Biden, 81, appeared to mumble as he made the shocking statement. He also called Trump a "loser," highlighting how he refused to visit a cemetery to pay tribute to fallen U.S. soldiers.
This comes after Trump was ordered to pay columnist E. Jean Carroll $83 million in a defamation trial.
Joe Biden Calls Donald Trump A 'Sitting President'
During an economic speech in South Carolina, Biden suffered a major blunder as he referred to his predecessor, Trump, as the current "sitting president."
He said, "The American consumers are facing real confidence in the economy we're building. Let me tell you who else is noticing that- Donald Trump."
Biden then seemed to stumble on his words while giving his speech, as he asked, "Did you see what he recently said about.. he wants to, he wants to see the economy crash this year? A Sitting President."

Not correcting himself, Biden continued his speech by calling Trump a "loser" for referring to the U.S. fallen soldiers as "suckers and losers" after refusing to pay a visit to a cemetery in France.
The president stated, "And referred to those heroes, and I quote, as 'suckers and losers.' He actually said that! How dare he say that. The only loser I see is Donald Trump."
Biden also claimed that his political adversary knows that the U.S. economy is "good and strong and getting stronger." He added, "[Trump] knows that while it's good for America, it's bad for him politically."
Joe Biden Gets Called Out Online For His Mistake
Over on X (formerly known as Twitter), netizens slammed the president for making such a mistake, while others claimed that Biden knows who the real president is, referring to the belief by many Republicans that the 2020 elections were stolen from Trump.
One person said, "Nothing more entertaining than two old men making fun of each other."
Another stated, "OMG - Biden really called Trump the sitting president. The conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day with this one."
A third person commented, "Trump is the rightful president. He's just letting Joe play dress up to show the world how well Democrats run the country."
"This is elder abuse.... He might deserve it, but it looks bad, very bad, horribly bad," said a fourth individual.
Another person wrote, "LMAO. WTF is wrong with this dude? Biden can not really be the president of the United States. What an embarrassment."
"Joe Biden also thinks Hunters is the smartest guy he knows. So does this blunder surprise me [?]... No," wrote a sixth individual.
Donald Trump Was Ordered To Pay E. Jean Carroll $83.3 Million In Defamation Case
Biden's latest jab at Trump came shortly after the Republican presidential hopeful was ordered to pay former columnist E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million for defaming her when he denied her sexual assault allegations in 2019. At the time, Trump said that "people should pay dearly for such false accusations."
After several arguments and testimonies, the jury decided that Trump must pay Carroll $18.3 million in compensatory damages and $65 million in punitive damages.
Carroll first went public with the allegations in 2019 when she claimed that the former president raped her in a dressing room at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in the mid-1990s.
Trump has since slammed the verdict, calling it "absolutely ridiculous!" He added, "I fully disagree with both verdicts and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party. Our Legal System is out of control and being used as a Political Weapon."
In a statement after her win, Carroll called the verdict "a great victory for every woman who stands up when she's been knocked down and a huge defeat for every bully who has tried to keep a woman down."
