Snoop Dogg's family can feel relieved after his daughter, Cori Broadus, was released from the hospital following a significant health scare.
The only daughter of the legendary rapper took to social media to alert her fans of the latest update about her health one week after she disclosed that she experienced a severe stroke, leading to hospitalization.
Snoop Dogg's Daughter Released From Hospital Days After Stroke
Cori informed her 659k followers on Instagram that she is recovering well and has been discharged. In an Instagram Story update, the 24-year-old wrote, "My CT scan of my chest came back normal, and I'm going home today. I can prolly cry omgggg."
Expressing gratitude for the ongoing support, she added alongside the photo from her hospital bed, "Thank you, thank you for the continuous prayers, love etc."
In a follow-up, Cori posted a picture of a "welcome home" banner in what appeared to be a living room. The singer previously updated her supporters with some positive news earlier this week when she told them would "likely" be able to return home within the next 24 hours.
The "Sittin' In My Room" artiste appeared healthy and happy in her hospital gown, giving a thumbs-up to the camera in one pose and pouting in another. Across the adorable bathroom selfie collage, Cori penned, "God is working overtime, you hear me! My kidneys were doing terrible... doctors came in this am and said they are improving so much 🥺."
In case you missed it, Cori shocked fans with the news of her health scare and emergency hospitalization through her Instagram Story on January 18.
She uploaded a snapshot of her hospital bed along with the heartbreaking announcement that read: "I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me."
In her next post, the "No Guns Allowed" hitmaker expressed her distress, writing, "Like I'm only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this," accompanied by a selfie of her wearing a pink hoodie and a nose mask.
Cori has battled lupus since the age of six, leading to several hospital incidents. In 2021, she had a suicide attempt, which she candidly discussed in an emotional Instagram post, writing:
"The last few weeks, my mental has not been so great. At one point, I tried to end my life, but you & my family really gave me a purpose to live & helped me realize life is much more than materialistic things & you gotta just keep pushing through the b——. THANK YOU."
Cori Ditched Her Lupus Medication To Focus On Healing Through Holistic Treatments
The last time Cori opened up about her health was in September 2023, when she detailed an improvement after adopting a holistic approach.
"I've been good, better than I've ever been. I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I'm just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas," she shared in the interview.
The "Reincarnated" actress disclosed that she "started working out, drinking lots of water," which made her body adjust to "the new program." According to Cori, she opted for a holistic approach after her extended use of medications made her "feel like I was going insane." In her words:
"I've had medication since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself. I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I'm only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold Turkey."
Despite the significant progress achieved through holistic methods, Cori acknowledged that more lifestyle changes were necessary to enhance her health. She then emphasized that it is an ongoing learning journey while admitting the challenges of poor eating habits and inadequate rest.

She wrapped up by noting that even though a complete health overhaul is not feasible, she remains committed to daily improvements rather than becoming overwhelmed.
"I have days where I'm sick, but I'm still blessed and able to do what I love to do and to tell my story. But then there's days I'm like, 'Wow, I wish I wasn't sick. What would my life be if I was just a normal girl?' It's part of being human. You're going to have bad days, you're not going to always have good days."
