The charges came after he was apprehended by the police twice in three days following reports of him lurking around Swift's New York City home. Crowe was formally arraigned on Wednesday, facing three charges, including 4th-degree stalking and 1st and 2nd-degree harassment.

At his initial court appearance, Crowe pled not guilty to all the charges against him, and he was released from custody. Prosecutors sought supervised release with stringent conditions, which the judge granted.

While technically back on the streets, a protective order was issued, preventing Crowe from attempting to contact Swift. Prosecutors also presented additional disturbing details during the court proceedings.

Prosecutors assert that during some of these incidents, Crowe requested to speak to Swift, leading to the stalking charge. This is a key reason why the court is closely monitoring him upon release.

Details of the arraignment come shortly after The Blast reported that the stalking incident gained attention over the weekend on Saturday when authorities responded to reports of a man trying to enter Swift's townhouse without authorization.

Despite being taken away in handcuffs, the fan returned to the scene on Monday, January 22. Thanks to the incident on Saturday, neighbors and Swift's security team quickly recognized him during his second attempt on that day.

Sources mentioned that the 34-year-old superstar's security head promptly informed authorities about the man's presence, and eyewitnesses also reported sightings of a man lurking around the townhouse. However, when New York Police Department officials arrived, the alleged stalker was nowhere to be found.

While it remains unclear whether the obsessed fan fled when law enforcement officers arrived, he was eventually found less than a block from Swift's home.

Following the incident, he was interrogated, and it ended with officers placing him in handcuffs.

As you know, Swift was in Buffalo, New York to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce's NFL playoff game.

The Blast previously divulged that a "disorderly person" linked to Swift's stalking was seen hanging around on Franklin Street. Upon police arrival, they were informed that an individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location.

The police refrained from disclosing the individual's identity and did not confirm whether the intention was to access Swift's residence. Following their arrival, and after engaging with the man, he was placed in handcuffs in a calm manner, according to an eyewitness.

The situation was described as civil, with no resistance, yelling, or disruptions observed. The eyewitness claimed, "I first saw him around 1 p.m. — he went up to Taylor's door. I'm not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell."

Additionally, a second eyewitness revealed that the man had been "lurking here for a month." The individual reportedly engaged in disruptive behavior, including "sleeping on the stoop, chain-smoking constantly, shouting," and causing discomfort for everyone in the vicinity, as per the source.

The neighbor recounted that the person, present since before Christmas, expressed a desire to see Swift, even bringing flowers on one occasion. The neighbor asserted making multiple calls to the police about the situation, but action was only taken when the individual attempted to physically enter the building.

Describing the songwriter's alleged stalker as a "total nutcase," the source mentioned an unsuccessful attempt to have the person leave. While the singer was confirmed to be in NYC during the incident, it remains unclear if she was at home.
