Monica Garcia's days on "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" may officially be over following her ties to a troll account.

The reality TV star was a fan favorite for breathing new life into the Bravo show. However, her debut on the program's 4th season was filled with more drama than her fellow castmates could handle, and they might need a permanent "break" from Garcia.

'RHOSLC' Showrunners Confirm Monica Garcia Will Not Return For Season 5

Despite making waves as the first Latina to join the "RHOSLC" cast, fans will not get to enjoy Garcia's sassiness in the 5th season of the reality TV series. Bravo's executive producers confirmed the news of her exit, noting the cast needed to regroup after a tumultuous 4th season.

Multiple sources shared similar stories, stating the 40-year-old will not join co-stars — Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, and Angie Katsanevas — when filming resumes in February. However, Bravo executive Andy Cohen hinted that Garcia's exit may not be permanent.

The "Watch What Happens Live" host suggested the entertainer's departure may be "a break." He also teased her possible comeback, hinting it depended on fixing her strained relationship with other castmates.

"I think the question is how will Monica, or will Monica, find her way back into this group?" Cohen chimed, echoing similar sentiments to the show's producers — Noah Samton and Lisa Shannon. These showrunners claimed discussions about Garcia's part on "RHOSLC" were ongoing in an interview on January 19.

"[We've] had about 7,000 conversations about that subject. We probably have another few hundred ahead of us still," Samton revealed per PEOPLE, noting Garcia was an essential part of the series. In his words:

"[Monica's] a great cast member. She's open and vulnerable, and she represents a different kind of person in Salt Lake than we have on the show. She comes from a different background, and there's a lot about her that the audience can relate to in a way that's different from the other women."

"But at the same time, there's the deception, there's the relationship with the other cast members. It's a really complicated puzzle," Samton noted of Garcia's links to the troll account. Despite her faults, the showrunner stressed that "from a rating standpoint," the entertainer's chances for a comeback were high.

"But it's really challenging in this situation. We're just trying to figure it out," he confessed. Shannon added, "It's a situation we've never been in before. ... This is a different beast than I think any of us have dealt with. So we're kind of moving our way through it."

Monica Garcia's Exit Comes After The Revelation Of Her Ties To A Troll Account

As stated, Garcia's first season on "RHOSLC" was filled with much drama over her ties to the Instagram troll account RealityVonTease. She addressed her link to this page in the final part of the show's reunion episode after co-star Heather Gay exposed her.

Garcia acknowledged posting on the troll account, which had a history of criticizing the show's stars. However, she claimed her participation on the platform was aimed at unveiling the crimes of former castmate Jen Shah instead of dissing her current co-stars.

"I didn't say s— about anyone else other than Jen, and I will own that to the grave," she declared when confronted by the other women. Garcia refused to see her involvement with RealityVonTease as a "bad thing" since she was "just telling the truth."

Nonetheless, her castmates didn't share her perspective on the matter, with many calling her out for betraying their trust. Gay slammed Garcia as a "cyberbully internet troll," while Barlow screamed: "You f—ing deceived all of us." Marks also echoed similar grievances, saying: "You've sat here with us for three months and not told us the truth."

Days before the drama unfolded on "RHOSLC," Garcia revealed her marriage to ex-husband Mike Fowler ended because of domestic violence. She broke the news on Instagram, noting she had hoped to address the matter on the reality TV series.

"The reason for our divorce was because of domestic violence. My ex was arrested a couple times for domestic violence on me in front of our girls and violations of protective orders," the 40-year-old confessed, stating she wanted fans to understand the current state of her life.

Garcia's ex-husband was arrested for "slapping her across the face" in a 2021 incident that occurred in the former couple's home. According to a police report, Fowler attacked her following a heated argument that started when the pair went out for dinner.
