Former President Donald Trumpis reportedly "convinced [that] he’s on the path to winning the presidency again" in 2024.
As you know, the 77-year-old is currently running to be re-elected as President of the United States, amid his ongoing New York fraud suit with Attorney General Letitia James, which alleges the former President lied about the value of his assets to get loans from banks and insurance companies.
Just days ago, the former President of the United States won in the Iowa caucuses, marking his first Republican victory. Following the news, Trump is reportedly extremely confident that he will win the 2024 Election.
Donald Trump Is 'Totally Convinced' He Will Become Re-Elected
Following his Iowa caucuses win, a source close to the 77-year-old claims he is "on top of the world right now."
"Everyone [at his private club, Mar-a-Lago] is already treating him like he’s the president in Florida," the source told Page Six. "He’s totally convinced he’s on the path to winning the presidency again. He’s very upbeat. He’s elated… he’s already predicting a landslide in the entire country to aides and friends.”
This latest news comes after Vice President Kamala Harris spoke out about the possibility of Donald Trump getting re-elected.
“You know, there’s an old saying that there are only two ways to run for office: either without an opponent or scared. So on all of those points, yes, we should all be scared,” Harris admitted while on 'The View' earlier this week. “But as we know — and certainly this is a table of very powerful women — we don’t run away from something when we’re scared. We fight back against it.”
Donald Trump Wins Iowa Caucuses
On Monday, Donald Trump took 50% of the vote, marking the biggest win in caucus history. Although the Iowa win was huge, the former President says, “The big night is going to be in November, when we take back our country."
Trump beat out Republican candidate Nikki Haley, whom the 77-year-old says likely won't be chosen for Vice Presidency. "She is not presidential timber," Trump said at his campaign event on Friday. "Now, when I say that, that probably means that she's not going to be chosen as the vice president."
"I know her very well. She's not tough enough. She's not smart enough. And she wasn't respected enough. She cannot do this job," Trump added. "She's not going to be able to deal with President Xi. She's not going to be able to deal with Putin."
This also comes after the former President attended a rally where he referenced Nikki Haley multiple times, when, in reality, he meant to name Nancy Pelosi.
“By the way, they never report the crowd on January 6. You know, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley … did you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it?" the former President said.
Adding, "All of it, because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security, we offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, national guards, whatever they want. They turned it down.”
