Prince Harry, reportedly hurt his brother Prince William by claiming he is the only one in the family who "married for love."

The stunning claim comes from Royal author Robert Hardman who has dived into the strained relationship between the two Princes.

According to Hardman, Harry subtly "dissed" William by publicly questioning the choice of his life partner, Kate Middleton, which left the Prince of Wales "wounded."

William has shown recently how much his wife means to him as he postponed his royal duties to be by her side following her recent hospitalization after having abdominal surgery.

The ongoing scrutiny of the relationship between the two prominent princes has been the subject of much media speculation in recent years. The release of Harry's Netflix miniseries with his wife, "Harry & Meghan," seemingly added salt to injury on their already ruptured brotherhood.

However, Royal author Hardman, who wrote "The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy," has given his views on the brothers' relationship, noting that Harry "dissed" William and "wounded" him with his words.

Hardman toldNYP that he believes the Duke of Sussex did this by criticizing William's choice of picking Kate as his wife.

"Harry talks about marrying someone for love, not because it's the sort of person you ought to," Hardman noted. "I think that's a lot more wounding. I mean, that's effectively dissing your brother and his choice of wife in a very public way."

Harry, who has been vocal about how he didn't get on well with a few Royals, released his blockbuster memoir "Spare" last year, where he shared details about his childhood and relationship with William.

In the book, Harry details how William snubbed him at Eton College and writes about a physical altercation that ensued between them as they argued about his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor," Harry wrote of William in his memoir. "I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

Hardman noted that Harry's telling nature of accounts that goes on between them goes beyond William's choice of privacy and further inhibits their bond. He disclosed that "William is a really private person" and "family life is absolutely off-limits for media."

The royal author added, "Privacy is really important, and Harry's just gone and chucked all these stories about their childhood into the public domain."
