Doja Cat is allegedly being physically and verbally abused by her older brother, according to new allegations by her mom, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer.

The matriarch recently filed for a temporary restraining order against her 30-year-old son, Raman Dalithando Dlamin, who she accused of harassing her and Doja. The culprit's crimes are shockingly severe, from knocking out his sister's teeth to more bodily harm.

Deborah called out her son in new legal documents, alleging the 30-year-old had attacked his younger sister on numerous occasions. She claimed he was a menace to Doja, guilty of stealing and destroying the singer's property.

The filing states that Raman had given her cuts and bruises as well as knocking out her teeth. His alleged abuse also included verbal degradation, with Deborah writing that he attacked her "in a very degrading and demeaning manor [sic]."

Additionally, the legal filing obtained by TMZ shared that Raman's physical and verbal abuse made Doja feel "unsafe and traumatized." As for his crimes against her well-being, Deborah accused her son of physically abusing and threatening her multiple times over the past year.

She claimed his most recent harassment happened earlier this month, ultimately leading to her filing for a restraining order. Fortunately, a judge agreed the severity of the situation required temporary protection against Raman until a hearing for a permanent restraining order could happen.

Alas, the legal umpire denied Deborah's request for Doja's protection against her older brother. Instead, the judge advised the matriarch to convince her daughter to file a separate request for a restraining order.

This isn't the first time the "Woman" hitmaker's sibling has been ordered to stay away from their mother. Deborah revealed she previously had a restraining order against Raman, but the legal protection had expired.

The Grammy winner's mother is a painter and a clothing designer, while her father is a famous South African actor and a dancer. Dumisani's most famous work is the 1992 film "Sarafina!" where he starred alongside Hollywood veteran Whoopi Goldberg.

Dumisani and Deborah met in New York while the actor performed "Sarafina!" on Broadway. The couple had a brief romance in the 90s before splitting, and their short love birthed Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini.

Following their separation, the singer grew up with her mother in New York and California — a childhood she noted was filled with arts. Raving about Deborah's artistic career in a 2020 interview, Doja Cat said:

"She paints. She used to paint more, but she's now designing men's clothing. She's more on, like, the computer designing stuff, on like Photoshop and stuff."

The entertainer also noted that her mom placed her in several performing arts schools, saying: "She put me in dance and everything. When it came to school, I was in mostly performing arts, and I would take ballet and stuff like that."

Additionally, she cited her mother and grandmother's paintings as essential influences in her career. "A lot of that inspired me to, like, take up fashion and visual, experimental things, and I thank them a lot for that." She further explained:

"I feel like it really helped me a lot. They have great taste, they have a good eye, and it kind of drove me in the right direction."
