In a surprising move, Aubrey O'Day's latest post features her promoting her OnlyFans and paying tribute to the late Martin Luther King Jr.

The combination of NSFW content sales and a tribute to the civil rights activist sparked controversy, with many social media users criticizing her in the post's comment section.

Social Media Users Expressed Displeasure At O'Day's Tribute On MLK Day

On Monday, O'Day took to social media to a ten-slide post showcasing her in a beige khaki crop top that she paired with matching cargo pants designed with noticeable cutouts on the sides.

She complemented the look with similarly colored boots, a face full of smokey eye makeup, lip gloss, a necklace, and a wristwatch. The former Danity Kane member began the slides by striking a fierce pose on a couch while staring straight at the camera.

Next, the blonde singer, who recently spoke against the justice system, spread out on the couch, giving viewers a better look at her taut abs and hips peeking from her cutouts. Still not done, O'Day alternated between sitting and laying down on the chair for the subsequent snaps while maintaining a sultry look at the camera.

To wrap up the carousel, she included videos teasing her OnlyFans content, featuring her dancing in a bodysuit. The post also incorporated memes of President Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Seemingly using the caption to mark MLK Day, observed on the third Monday of January every year, O'Day quoted the civil rights leader, "'Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.'"

Unfortunately, O'Day's belief that MLK Jr. would support her explicit content selling on Instagram was met with contrasting opinions, as one person commented, "Using a MLK Jr peach to promote onlyfans is crazy," and another shared, "WTF???? Stop!!! This is disgraceful behavior. I guess it should be expected."

"Wtf do Martin Luther king have to do with this y'all will do anything for a click or a like. You couldn't just throw up a picture on your insta story?!" a third social media personality queried.

At the same time, a fourth pressed, "How DARE YOU use MLK to promote your BS? Girl, WE do not play about MLK go and put some white boy c--- on your 💩 smh some stuff you just don't do smh."

The situation heightened for O'Day when fellow content creator Dan Benson aired his thoughts about the 39-year-old using MLK Day to promote her OnlyFans page.

Speaking to TMZ, the former Disney Channel star dubbed the act "highly disrespectful," especially since it came from a white woman. He then explained that controversy had become a common strategy for content creators seeking new subscribers on the internet content subscription platform.

Even though he acknowledged the dynamics, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" alum, also an OnlyFans model, emphasized that there is a time and place for such tactics, and MLK Day was not the appropriate occasion.

A Previous Attack Against Her Body Sparked A Reaction From Aubrey O'Day

In November, O'Day confronted a wave of body-shaming comments on her Instagram post, where she paired an unzipped fluffy turtle-necked top with a pair of short shorts. The ensemble, as noted by The Blast, also included clear heels, gold hoop earrings, a gold wristwatch, and eye-catching electric blue eyeshadow.

Captioned with "Jean-yuhs," the upload highlighted daring shots of her from behind, causing one individual to suggest, "Instead of having your entire l— out... maybe work on your pedicure babes."

O'Day promptly defended herself, responding to the criticism: "Leavia isn't out and I don't have time to go to the nail salon like most women. I'm actually out here working on building my dream projects. I'm glad you have all the time in the world to do it though congrats!"

Addressing another online user questioning the need for such poses, the "Show Stopped" hitmaker clarified it as a familiar stage pose from her Danity Kane days. With a touch of humor, she added, "I've done about every pose ever invented on here. Lol."

Not all of the responses were negative though, as one fan complimented her, stating, "Forever Gorgeous Babe," and a second expressed, "The internet is brutal. You got it, flaunt it. You look like fire; don't let these trolls knock your crown."
