In the new movie, there is one line that clearly references the infamous "fire cr----" jab from Brandon Davis to Lindsay Lohan, which was leveled in 2006. As you may know, Brandon Davis, who is now married to actress Ashley Benson, once called Lindsay Lohan a "fire cr----" girl -- and that term is used in the new movie.

Lohan's rep Leslie Sloane released a statement on her reaction when hearing the joke, explaining that "Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film."

For those who have not yet seen the film, Megan Thee Stallion makes an appearance where she says "Fire cr---- is back," clearly referring to Brandon Davis's infamous 2006 video.

Tina Fey has gushed over working with Lindsay Lohan in the past, and the two seem to get along quite well, so considering Fey is the one behind the script, this is a shock for many. Plus, the actress made a cameo in the movie, but Lohan claims she did not know about this joke when filming.

The "fire cr----" comment was not the only one made by Davis, as he also said, “I think [Lohan] is worth about $7 million, which means she’s really poor. It’s disgusting. She lives in a motel.”

“Who would want to f–- her?” he then said.

Shortly thereafter, Davis issued an apology. “What started out as a joke got completely carried away," he said, adding, "I am horrified at the words that came out of my mouth.”

While Tina Fey has yet to comment on the "fire cr----" joke, she did speak out on how great it is to have the cast "come together for the new ‘Mean Girls'" movie.

“Bringing together a cast of actors is one of my favorite parts of the process, whether it’s in film, television, or stage,” she told PEOPLE before speaking on how thrilled she is to reprise her role as Ms. Norbury. “I am reprising my role as Ms. Norbury because we thought, well, teachers work for a long time. So it might make sense if Tim [Meadows] and I did it."

Meadows portrayed Principal Duvall in the original movie. "So I called Tim and I was like, ‘Will you do it? I’ll do it if you do it.’ And we said yes, as long as we don’t have to sing," Fey added.
