Time is up for Katie Price to pay back her debts to her ex-husband, Alex Reid, after avoiding the hefty bill for five years!
The OnlyFans creator is about to have her home invaded by debt collectors over the £250,000 she owes Reid for allegedly distributing his explicit sex tape and pictures. Price's latest debacle comes after she avoided court for the sixth time in her bankruptcy case.
Katie Price's Home Will Be Stripped Of Its Valuables To Pay Back £250,000 Debt
Price racked up the massive debt in 2019 after a judge ruled in Reid's favor, accepting that she was guilty of the allegations. Her ex-husband accused her of playing his sex tape to a TV audience while filming an episode of "Celebrity Big Brother" in the previous year.
The media personality was hit with a £150,000 lawyers' bill and an additional £100,000 compensation. However, she dodged the bullet by declaring bankruptcy that same month and repeatedly avoided court despite owing others a reported £3.2million.
After avoiding a judge's attempt to end her bankruptcy case a sixth time this month, a source revealed Price's home will be invaded this Monday to collect what she owes Reid. In the individual's words:
"High Court Enforcement officers will be attending Katie's property on Monday because she still hasn't paid an amount owed to her ex-husband, Alex Reid. They will be visiting two different locations, including her mucky mansion, to retrieve items to the value of the amount that Alex is due."
The source explained to Daily Mail that Reid's patience had worn out, noting his ex-wife "has only paid £1,000 towards the value she owes." It is believed that Price will not be home to receive the debt collectors as she was in Dublin on Sunday, where she hosted a makeup master class.
This is not the first time Price's home, nicknamed the mucky mansion, has made headlines. The property is well known among fans since it serves as the backdrop for the creator's OnlyFans content. It was also featured in the Channel 4 reality series "Katie Price's Mucky Mansion."
However, the entertainer's West Sussex property gained negative publicity in 2023 after legal notices were attached to the home, banning her from selling it. If necessary, the trustees overseeing Price's bankruptcy case possess the authority to sell the mucky mansion to settle her debts.
She may lose the famous property, given her repeated refusal to attend court hearings and provide her financial details. In September, trustees pursued a re-listing of the inquiry into her financial situation after she violated a payment agreement.
Barrister Darragh Connell told the court, "We are now at the stage where this matter needs to be expeditiously dealt with." Given the severity of the situation with £3.2million on the line, Judge Paul Greenwood announced that Price would answer questions about her finances at the earliest available date after July 21.
Katie Price's First Husband Is Still In Her Will
Before saying her vows to Reid, Price was married to Peter Andre from 2005 to 2009. Since their divorce, she has tied the knot twice, with both unions ending in similar separations. However, her first husband continued to have a special place in her life.
During a 2023 appearance on Kathy Burke's podcast, the glamour model revealed Andre — with whom she shares two children — was a beneficiary in her will. She noted that she never removed his name from her final wishes after their divorce, saying:
"I haven't even done a will update because, at the moment, everything I've got gets left to Pete, Junior, Princess, and Harvey."
However, Andre's name might no longer be a part of Price's will as she acknowledged the need for a revision. The former couple had a tumultuous history, starting with their meeting on the popular TV show "I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!" in 2004.
The duo tied the knot a year later in a grand ceremony at the majestic Highclere Castle. Then they flaunted their romance on the reality TV show "Jordan and Peter," which was later rebranded as "Katie And Peter." After nearly four years together, they called it quits in 2009, and Price moved on with Reid in 2010.
After dating for seven months, the model and Reid said their vows, and their whirlwind love fizzled out as quickly as it started. Their separation came eleven months after their wedding, making this Price's shortest relationship in her three marriages.
Her third husband, Kieran Hayler, proposed to her in December 2012, and they tied the knot in January 2013. However, their romance ended in 2014 after Price discovered that her new man had been unfaithful with two of her close friends.
