Despite many efforts to push the narrative, it has seemingly been confirmed that there is no imminent engagement between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Rumors about the highly talked about couple racing to the altar have become more prominent since they marked their three-month milestone.
Insiders Put Out The Flames Of Any Impending Engagement Between Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce
Onlookers have been told to rest their oars on planning a wedding for Swift and Kelce, whose romance first caught attention in September 2023. Even though there were speculations about an early summer engagement for the “Look What You Made Me Do” hitmaker and the NFL star, sources indicate otherwise.
Succinctly put, insiders close to the pair have expressed the lack of any current engagement plans between them. In fact, contrary to some reports, Kelce is planning to wait to pop the big question, and some of these informants even doubt the relationship will last in the long run.
According to the insiders who spilled the less-than-happy news to TMZ, specific individuals close to Swift and Kelce perceive them as being in a honeymoon phase. That means it is too premature to predict whether their relationship will progress beyond the dating stage.
They also noted that the duo are approaching a challenging phase in their relationship, with Swift embarking on another international leg of her Eras Tour starting in February, which will keep her overseas for many months.
While Kelce could join his girlfriend during breaks in the NFL season, those close to them suggest waiting to see how they navigate the challenges of a more extended long-distance situation before entertaining engagement discussions.
Swift's Continued Public Support For Kelce Is Starting To Impact Her Life
If informants are to be believed, cracks have already begun showing in Kelce and Swift's relationship, as one person recently alleged that the latter's commitment to her man is starting to affect her negatively.
In case you missed it, the Grammy Awards winner has been on the road, supporting Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at various NFL stadiums since September. Meanwhile, Kelce has reciprocated the support by flying out of the country to watch Swift perform on just one known occasion during her International Eras Tour.
Per The Blast, which cited an inside source, Swift is the one making significant efforts in her relationship with Kelce, and it is reportedly "starting to take a toll on her."
Since their hectic schedules lead to constant traveling efforts to maintain their connection, the informant asserted that Swift frequently flies to see her man and arranges for him to visit her.
However, the challenge is that the Chiefs tight end is prioritizing his focus on the NFL and is not concerned about reciprocating these efforts.
According to the person in the know, "Over the holiday, all Travis wanted to do was focus on football," which resulted in Swift feeling upset and needing "to take a backseat, which was really tough."
They stated, "When it comes down to it, the game is still his No. 1 priority, and that became crystal clear for Taylor," before adding:
"Things get heated between them at times over scheduling because they're both so incredibly busy and they're both so dedicated to their careers. As much as Taylor can be a fool for love, she never lets her work suffer."
Swift's Relationship With The In-Law Called Into Question
While Kelce's focus and dedication to the game is on par with the Chiefs being in the playoffs, it also does not help that Swift's relationship with his brother, Jason Kelce, is not at its best.
The strain reportedly began late last year after Jason's wife, Kylie Kelce, appeared to take a subtle jab at Swift by expressing that the singer is "not particularly my cup of tea" during an interview.
The informant shared that "Taylor took that [comment] personally, and since then, it's been very awkward."
Despite the allegations of weariness and rift, Swift remained her supportive self by attending Saturday's playoff game, where the Chiefs secured a victory of 26-7 against the Miami Dolphins, advancing to the next round.
The pop icon enthusiastically cheered for the team and celebrated the win with a Swag Surfin' moment. Additionally, she was seen leaving the game hand-in-hand with her beau, showcasing their connection.
