Swifties Belt Out Taylor Swift Song Following Kansas City Chiefs Win

Following the Kansas City Chiefs win on New Year's Eve, fans left Arrowhead Stadium belting out a Taylor Swiftsong, and the videos are still going viral.

The pop icon was in attendance for the game on December 31, 2023, to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the team.

After the game, the crowd celebrated the win by belting out Taylor Swift's "Our Song" as they exited Arrowhead Stadium.

As Chiefs fans celebrated their New Year's Eve win, fans belted out the hit tune, which was shared all over social media.

"OUR SONG IS A SLAMMING SCREEN DOOR SNEAKING OUT LATE TAPPING ON YOUR WINDOW WHEN WERE ON THE PHONE AND YOU TALK REAL SLOW," one fan excitedly wrote in the comments section, quoting the lyrics to the track.

"This is funny AF!!! SWIFTIES have taken over CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!" another exclaimed.

As one user expressed, "That’s for all the Brads, Chads, and dads who say she doesn’t need to be at games," which is referencing Taylor's interview with TIME where she said, “I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

"Those chads and brads were BIG MAD," another commented.

As one TikTok user said, "Let's Go!! Love our Chiefs. KC pride all the way. Taylor's music brings the fans together."

Taylor Swift has been receiving some backlash from fans for her presence at the NFL games; however, the Kansas City Chiefs owner doesn't seem to mind one bit.

“It’s been a very interesting, very fun year having the two of them dating, the attention that’s been focused on the Chiefs,” team owner Clark Hunt said. “Our female audience has grown leaps and bounds.”

He went on to deny the rumors that claim Travis and Taylor's relationship is a publicity stunt, saying their connection is “purely organic".

The pop icon was also in attendance for the wild card playoff round on Saturday, January 13, which was played in a bitter-cold Kansas City. Despite the cold, Taylor went to the game to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the team.

Taylor showed up wearing a custom Kelce jacket, which was designed and made by Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

After the game, which was played in a record-breaking -7°F temperature with a wind chill of below -20°F, Taylor was seen Swag Surfin' alongside Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Brittany was also wearing a custom jacket, similar to Taylor's, also made by Kristin Juszczyk.

Patrick Mahomes finished the playoff game with 23 of 41 attempts completed for 262 yards and a touchdown, while Travis Kelce had seven completions for 89 years.

The Chiefs beat the Dolphins 26-7 and have moved on to the next round of playoffs. It has yet to be determined who they will face off next, but many fans are hoping that Taylor Swift will be in attendance for future games.
