After an impressive recovery period, Jeremy Renner has returned to acting.
The actor announced that he has returned to the "Mayor of Kingstown" set for the first time since his snowplow accident on New Year's Day 2023. Renner suffered over 30 broken bones and underwent numerous surgeries due to the life-altering incident.

On Wednesday, Renner confirmed his return to work on the Paramount+ drama by sharing a selfie of himself looking sharp in a cold-weather coat layered over a striped button-down shirt, complemented by a grey-and-black tie. He added a small smile and squinted his eyes slightly, with his brown locks pushed to the side.
"Day one on set … nervous today. Hope this works out that I can ACTUALLY pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans," the 52-year-old wrote under the picture.
Fans could barely contain their joy at the good news, giving the post over 280k likes and nearly 8k comments reiterating their support for him. "YOU GOT THIS!! MORE THAN ANYONE EVER! Love you bro!," one excited Instagram user praised, as another exclaimed:
"After the past year, I think you've proved you are capable of the almost impossible!"
A third person noted, "All of your posts make me so happy because this time last year, we were on our knees in prayer for you!!!" A fourth claimed, "It's so good to see you well. I wish you all the luck in the world. I love you."

A fifth commenter stressed, "You got this!! We were happy to wait for you to heal so that you could make it back on the set of MOK." Simultaneously, Paramount+ officially declared the commencement of production for the upcoming third season of "Mayor of Kingstown" on Instagram.
As expected, the reaction under the streaming platform's post was similar to that of Renner's, with one social media citizen declaring, "Love this guy. So freakin inspirational," and another pointing out, "The Avenger is back, you mean. Total bada—!" in the comments.
As for his New Year's incident, The Blast reported at the time that Renner was clearing his Nevada home's driveway so his family could make their way back to their homes after their holiday celebrations when it happened.
A 911 call revealed that a snowcat, the Marvel Cinematic Universe star's equipment for snow removal, had collided with him on Mount Rose Highway in Washoe County.
He was swiftly airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he received prompt medical attention and treatment. A statement released by a representative for the superstar conveyed:
"We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today."
Later, Renner shared a hospital bed selfie displaying a heavily bruised face on Instagram, expressing gratitude to fans. "Thank you all for your kind words. I'm too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all," he penned.

In November 2023, Renner shared his strong dedication to the path of recovery. Detailing the comprehensive range of therapies and treatments he has embraced, the Hollywood A-lister expressed:
"I have been exploring EVERY type of therapy since Jan 14th … everyday, countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge, and the list goes on and on…."
While trying all those were good for his treatment, he highlighted that the most powerful form of therapy was the resilience of his mind and unwavering determination to push through the challenges of recovery. He then emphasized that he did not take his second chance at life for granted, stating:
"My greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better... Be exceptional… I feel it's my duty to do so. Not to squander my life being spared, but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure. I thank you all. #loveandtitanium."
