Talk about positive influence! Glorilla follows in 50 Cent's big footsteps by sharing her New Year resolution with one central theme — celibacy!
The rapper has now joined a long list of fellow industry talents who promised to reduce intimacy significantly in 2024.
No Bedroom Business For Glorilla In 2024
The "Tomorrow" rapper took to social media to share her rather "moral" mission for the new year shortly after 50 Cent made his own known. The tweet shared on Glorilla's official X (Formerly known as Twitter) account read:
"Started my 90 day celibacy lil s–t for new year's or wtv, I'm on da 9th day & my vision blurry af !!!!! Send help."
As she added a bit of humor to her version, it did not take long before her fans flooded the comments to share their thoughts.
This X user wrote, "Come celebrate with us when you done" prompting a reply from another person who wrote, "She's celibate by choice gang." One other fan encouraged the rapper by sharing that she is also on her celibacy journey as another commenter revealed, "I'm on day 60 started mines November 9th."
The doubters were not far behind as this X user was convinced that Glorilla would not go far, writing, "You not making it 90 days I stamp that."
As for 50 Cent, The Blast shared that celibacy is sandwiched among a long list of things he had mapped out for the year. The New York native pulled up on the gram, dressed to the nines in a dark gray suit paired with a crisp white shirt and a fancy tie as he helped himself to a shot of whiskey and a cigar stick. In the caption, the "In Da Club" rapper wrote:
"My new idea is so big, I don't have time to be distracted I'm practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi."
His teeming followers and admirers gushed over his pictures and motivating caption in the comment section. Towards the tail end of last year, the rapper expressed his intention to produce a documentary on Diddy and his sexual misconduct after Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie slammed him with a $30 million lawsuit.
Cassie's lawsuit opened the floodgates for more allegations of sexual assault against the "I'm Coming Home" rapper, who has now denied all the claims. The documentary may be on the list of goals keeping 50 Cent focused in the New Year, as it's no news that he and Diddy are sworn enemies.
50 Cent also promised to share proceeds from the documentary to charity as he got one of Diddy's former artists, Mark Curry, to share his testimony on a video clip on his Instagram while he made the announcement.
The rapper's long-term girlfriend Jamira "Cuban Link" Haines may also play a massive role in helping him achieve his set goals as he once disclosed in his 2020 book "Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter" that they create vision boards together to help grow their careers and relationship.
50 Cent and Haines went public with their romance at the rec carpet event for "Power" season 6 in 2019 and have kept the details of their relationship private since then, with occasional features on each other's socials.
Megan Thee Stallion Is Also In On The Abstinence Plan
During an Instagram Live session, the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper also made her abstinence pact as early as last November. Daily Mail shared that the rapper planned to be more "stingy" with sex and embarking on a revamp in her dating life. In her words:
"They be like, "Megan Thee Stallion, I cannot believe she likes to have sex! I cannot believe Megan Thee Stallion f—s!"'. B–h, y'all be…, No, but I am turning over a new leaf."
Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, also called out those with the most to say about her personal life but did not maintain the same energy for her music.
She disclosed that she was no longer a "freak," adding that she was done with the "streets" as everywhere is now very toxic." The rapper's Instagram Live happened right after her ex-boyfriend and songwriter Pardison Fontaine released a diss track in response to her new single "Cobra."
Pete accused Fontaine of stepping out on her in their relationship, to which Fontaine countered and accused her of also cheating, lying about her surgery, and withholding the truth from Gayle King during an interview about Tory Lanez shooting.
