Singing "Shut Up and Drive" while driving down Rihanna Drive may now be the most meta thing to do in Barbados.
On Thursday, Rihanna made her appearence in her native St. Michael, Barbados for the official street-renaming ceremony — also part of Barbados’ Independence Day celebrations— where officials permanently changed Westbury Road (where she grew up) to Rihanna Drive.

Despite the rain, the “Umbrella” singer shined in a hot yellow tunic dress with matching pumps — again, proving our point that she looks good in EVERYTHING — while greeting fans and addressing the crowd.
A giant plaque was also unveiled with Rihanna's history and some personal words from the singer displayed near the street sign.
“I couldn’t be more grateful,” she said. “My dreams were born on this very street.”
Rihanna was also named an official Cultural Ambassador for Barbados.
So, now she officially Runs This Town.
