Carmen Electra Files To Legally Change Her Name

Carmen Electra is filing to legally change her name. Although Electra has always used "Carmen Electra" as her stage name, she now seeks to legalize it.

It comes amid her recent venture into the world of OnlyFans, where she has shared intimate moments from her illustrious career with her fans.

Electra no longer wants to be associated with her birth name, Tara Leigh Patrick, and has now filed legal documents to officially change it to "Carmen Electra."

The Hollywood star has been known since the 90s as Carmen Electra across all her film and TV appearances.

According to the Legal document obtained by The Blast, the former model notes that she "has been using Carmen Electra as her stage name for decades and now seeks legal clarification."

Although it's unclear if her name change request has already been granted, things like this are approved quite fast.

The actress has since left the big and silver screen to focus on a more personal kind of work, OnlyFans. She joined the platform after celebrating her 50th birthday in 2022 and more than two and a half decades after leaving "Baywatch."

The actress revealed her intentions to join the platform in an interview, noting that it gives her the ability to take complete ownership of her creativity.

She said at the time, "I, for once, have this opportunity to be my own boss and have my own creative vision to share with my fans without someone standing over me, telling me, 'Don't do this, don't do that. Cover up this."

"People are going to do what they want to do anyway with your photos, you might as well be in control of them and follow what you feel like doing inside," Electra added in her chat with People Magazine.

She also revealed that her OF account would include vacation content, beauty tutorials, swimwear, and lingerie photos, as well as "more sexy, classy pictures and videos," which would give her a chance to be "a little bit more intimate" with her loyal fans in personal interactions.

On her Instagram page, she revealed her intention to "bare it all" for her fans while launching her OF account, saying, "The Secret is out! I'm baring it all for you [baby]."

Electra has since steadily kept her followers on OF updated with new content, mostly about her life and daily activities.

Last year, the "Scary Movie 4" actress provided a candid peek into her world of OnlyFans, sharing her hilarious interactions with fans on the popular subscription-based platform.
