Emily Ratajkowski Earns 'Sandy Cheeks' Nickname In Beach Bikini

Emily Ratajkowski didn't take long to rake in the fan comments as she went double trouble with a girlfriend from a beach last month.

Posting to Instagram at the start of December 2023, the supermodel made it a Hot Girl Summer in winter, showing off her sensational figure in a tiny bikini and enjoying her Turks and Caicos vacation with pal Tina. In a photo that showed both ladies going buns out in thong swimwear, Emily reminded fans that her "thongs only 2024" prediction may just come true. She also earned herself a naughty nickname from one of her adoring fans.

Scroll for the photo. Leaving little to the imagination, Emily showcased her toned rear and long legs in a printed, red and orange bikini with a barely there finish. Also drawing the eye to her toned back and shoulders, the Inamorata founder opted for a two-piece from her 2017-founded brand, with pal Tina modeling a likewise skimpy bikini in multicolor fabrics. All cheek, Emily posed with a fair amount of sand covering the lower half of her body, and it looks like one fan noticed it.

Wearing her long dark hair down, Emily gazed out toward a stunning ocean bay as she spent quality time with her friend. In a caption, she wrote: "Turks and Tina."

Fans have left the 32-year-old over 800,000 likes. "Is there more to this story?" one fan asked. "Looks like you found a beach buddy. Don’t forget to brush the sand off at the end of the day! Then you can get a pizza and a popsicle…," another wrote. A third fan, meanwhile, called Emily "Sandy cheeks."

The photo had opened a gallery, with further images showing an even closer shot of those backsides, plus Emily and Tina having fun as they splashed about the surf.

Feedback was less steady last summer as Emily uploaded these snaps of herself in a cheeky thong bikini. Posing from a farmhouse-style kitchen, the swimwear designer fell under fire from fans, who both shamed her for stripping down as a mother and questioned her feminist edge. "Imagine if your mom would run around the house like this. What would you think about her?" a fan asked, with 600+ others agreeing.

Even more users liked a reply reading: "Why do you complain about the objectification of your body when your whole Instafeed is you objectifying your whole body ?"

"Does she ever put clothes on?" another user asked alongside a facepalm emoji.

Emily might face criticism for her skimpy looks, but she's winning. Her Inamorata brand keeps growing, her portfolio of modeling gigs is widening, and her podcast remains popular. EmRata now fronts brands including Versace, Tory Burch, Kerastase, Marc Jacobs, and Viktor & Rolf.
