The Colorado state representative is being investigated by police for allegedly punching her husband in the face twice.

According to Silt Police Lt. Matt Gronbeck, who spoke with a news outlet, police were summoned to Miner's Claim, a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, on Saturday night.

Eyewitnesses at the scene told TMZ that Jayson entered the restaurant where Lauren was seated and that the two argued until the congresswoman punched him twice in the nose. After the altercation, Lauren then proceeded to call the cops on her ex-husband, who was told to leave the eatery.

Authorities revealed that the first 911 call was a "hangup" and have shared no further details about their investigation, including potential charges against Lauren or her ex-husband Jayson.

I really don't know what to say. It's sad what has happened to us. I forgive her. I know she has a lot of hurt and pain. We both do."

The congresswoman confirmed in May 2023 that she had filed for divorce from Jayson, citing "irreconcilable differences."

By October last year, the couple finalized their divorce, with a very emotional display afterward. The pair reportedly kissed each other deeply at the time, went out for lunch together, and Lauren even cried.

Jayson has been very open about his love and affection for the 36-year-old, claiming that he "regrets" the choices he made that caused her to file for a divorce.

"Throughout our 20 years together, she has been my rock, my confidant, and my best friend," the 42-year-old told the Daily Mail. "Her unwavering commitment to our family has been truly admirable, and I am devastated by the pain I have caused her."

Jayson continued, "I take full responsibility for my actions, and I deeply regret the choices I made that led to the breakdown of our marriage."

He added that he "was unfaithful to Lauren in so many ways" and that he should have "brought [his] best."

Jayson also slammed the rumors about why Lauren left him. He said, "It upsets me that everyone believes she left me over fame or a new lifestyle. That is far from the truth…Much of this is on me because the problem starts at the root. I am the root."

The Colorado state rep seems to be a trouble magnet as last year September, she was at the center of a scandal involving her and a former lover.

The politician was caught on video allegedly vaping and being fondled by her date during a showing of the popular musical, "Beetlejuice."

At the time, Lauren was thrown out of the theater and slammed for acting inappropriately at the family show that had children in attendance. She initially denied the allegations but then issued an apology after a video of her caught in the act surfaced online.

She said of her reckless behavior, "The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I'm truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community. While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that."

Lauren added, "There's no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family. I've tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. That's unacceptable and I'm sorry."
