Keke Palmer's domestic violence restraining order against ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, has been extended for 6 months.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Palmer and Jackson are agreeing to have a hearing on the domestic violence allegations to be held sometime later this year, as opposed to January 9.
Keke Palmer's Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend Extended
The agreement includes an extension of the temporary restraining order previously issued to Palmer when she first filed for a restraining order against him in November 2023.
It is unsure why Palmer and Jackson agreed to move their hearing. However, the new update comes just weeks after Jackson shocked the world and filed a restraining order of his own against the "True Jackson, VP" alum.
Recall that Palmer accused her fitness instructor ex-boyfriend of "striking her" and "throwing her over a couch" in a bombshell filing that included snaps of home footage incidents of the abuse incidents.
"Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, then physically attacked me – lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police," the "Hustlers" actress alleged.
She further claimed Jackson jeopardized their then 8-month-old son's safety during a September altercation. "On September 26, 2023, I was concerned for Leo's safety after Darius became very frustrated with him when Leo was crying while Darius changed his diaper. Darius started getting rough with Leo physically and I stepped in to make sure Darius would not hurt him," she penned.
Palmer added, "Darius was angry and it almost became a tug of war with Leo. Darius finally let go and Leo was not harmed, but as I was holding Leo trying to comfort him and finish changing his diaper, Darius hit me in the head before storming out of the room."
The former child star was immediately granted a Temporary Restraining Order against her ex-partner and temporary sole custody of their son Leo.
On December 1, the former lovers reached an agreement to postpone going to court for the domestic violence charges and give mediation a shot. However, weeks later Jackson flipped the script and claimed Palmer was the one abusing him.
Darius Jackson Calls Keke Palmer The 'Primary Aggressor'
The fitness instructor filed for a restraining order against the renowned actress in response to her domestic violence accusations. According to the social media personality, Palmer was allegedly "the primary aggressor" and "engaged in abusive conduct throughout their two-and-a-half-year relationship."
Jackson’s countersuit cited instances of alleged abuse by the Nickelodeon alum including an August 20, 2021 incident where "Lauren punched Darius in the face at a birthday party." There was also a November 2021 incident where he accused of "Nope" actress of harassment.
"On November 17, 2021, after Darius told her he would not spend the night with her, Lauren called him over 200 times and sent him over 50 emails," the filing stated. Palmer also allegedly choked and called her father's kid names such as a "b–ch, a punk a–, and a loser."
"I believe it is in our son's best interests for Petitioner and I to share custody," Jackson lamented in the filing, before adding, "I am requesting the court order joint legal and physical custody. (Keke) has refused to allow me to see Leodis since obtaining temporary restraining orders. My offer to have visitation monitored was rejected, and she has unilaterally eliminated any and all access."
