Hollywood star Brad Pitt is reportedly planning to marry his girlfriend, Ines De Ramon, but he wants her to sign a prenuptial agreement.
Recent reports have suggested that the 60-year-old wants to protect his wealth in the event of marrying the jewelry designer. Pitt's decision is reportedly influenced by his bitter experience battling ex-wife Anjelina Jolie in court over sharing their assets.
Brad Pitt Isn't 'Taking Any Chances This Time'
Following a PDA-filled birthday celebration with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, rumors have swirled that Pitt is "head-over-heels in love" and wants to marry the jewelry designer.
The "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" star turned 60 last December and hosted a four-hour dinner with Ramon and more than half a dozen of their friends at LA's Mother Wolf restaurant. Pitt was said to have kept Ramon "close by his side all night" during the private event, clearly showing his intense affection for her.
However, a source has said that Pitt plans on being cautious when planning a possible marriage with Ramon. It is understood that he will insist on her signing a prenuptial agreement to safeguard his wealth, a lesson learned from his contentious asset-sharing lawsuit with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
"He isn't taking any chances this time. Brad is going to insist that Ines sign a rock-solid prenup to protect as much as $650 million in his assets and future holdings," a source said, per Radar Online.
Ines De Ramon Has Been Supportive Of Brad Pitt
According to the insider, Ramon has been supportive of Pitt over the past year and a half of their relationship as he continues to lock legal swords with Jolie.
"Ines wasn't there from the beginning, but she's seen the toll the divorce has taken on him and has been very supportive," the source said of the 34-year-old female.
She is also reportedly cool with the actor wanting to enforce a prenup, a decision fully endorsed by Pitt's "business team," who wouldn't "let him tie the knot again without taking some precautions."
"She totally understands the legal technicalities and that he wants to play it safe," the insider added. "She doesn't mind — Brad's worth it."
Once the prenup is "out of the way," the duo is expected to get into full wedding planning mode as "they are deliriously happy and in love and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together."
Brad Pitt & Ines De Ramon's Relationship Timeline
Pitt and Ramon were reportedly introduced by a yet-to-be-known mutual friend. They were said to have hit it off and started dating before being spotted together backstage at a Los Angeles Bono concert in November 2022.
Since that initial sighting, the duo have appeared together at high-profile events, including the premiere of Pitt's film "Babylon" and the LACMA's 12th annual gala. It was also reported that Ramon is "a big hit" with all of the actor's pals, and they have done a "few meet and greets," per Radar Online.
Still, the duo has yet to walk the red carpet together, seemingly still keeping their relationship low-key.
Before her involvement with Pitt, de Ramon was previously married to Paul Wesley, an actor known for the paranormal series "Vampire Diaries." The couple discreetly parted ways after three years of marriage in September 2022.
The Duo Reportedly Plans To Have Kids
It was recently reported that Pitt and Ramon have baby-making plans on the agenda as their romance continues to blossom.
"Brad and Ines are smitten with each other, and she recently moved into his Los Feliz mansion, proving how serious they are," a source recently shared with Closer Magazine, per The Things. "He's known from the outset that Ines wants to become a mum, and that's something they discussed very early on, given their 30-year age gap."
The insider also shared that the decision to have more kids is motivated by growing tensions between Pitt and his six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, whom he shares with Jolie.
"After everything he's been through with his children, he's keen to make a fresh start and create new memories," the source added. "Brad's not getting any younger, so it's something they would like sooner rather than later. He's even joked about doing the school run in his 70s and hopes that he'll still be seen as a heartthrob."
