In the changing world of the "Sister Wives," Robyn Brown is stepping into an unexpected role — that of a coaching guru for her husband, Kody Brown. As the family's patriarch navigates turbulent times and risks ruining his relationship with his last wife, Robyn is left alone to deal with it.
'Sister Wives' Robyn Brown Attempts Coaching Kody When Talking About Christine
In a revealing sneak peek from the TLC special, "Sister Wives: Christine & David's Wedding," Kody grappled with emotions surrounding his ex-wife Christine's nuptials to David Woolley. As he opened up about his feelings, Robyn stepped in, attempting to coach him on expressing the right sentiments.
Robyn had to intervene when Kody started discussing their past, redirecting the conversation with a coached statement, "Aren't we just so happy for them? We're just so happy for them, right? That's what we want."
In the midst of Kody's attempt at settling his emotions, he humorously quipped, "Just because I've been angry for them for three years doesn't mean I can't be happy for them." Despite his past anger, he acknowledged Christine's pursuit of happiness, recounting her words to their children about finding her soulmate.
Kody, seemingly out of the loop regarding the wedding details, shared his surprise about the union, stating, "I knew David and Christine were going to get married because I had met David. I saw a wedding announcement at my sister's house."
Expressing curiosity about family members being invited, the 54-year-old acknowledged being okay with Christine moving on but hinted at underlying unresolved issues. For her part, Robyn expressed a simple hope for the new couple's happiness, stating, "I hope that Christine and David can be happy. That's all I'm going to say."

As the last woman standing with Kody, the mother-of-five admitted to experiencing unforeseen consequences. In a candid interview on a previous episode of "Sister Wives: One-on-One Special" with Sukanya Krishnan, Robyn shed light on the toll Kody's emotional unrest had taken on their relationship.
Despite being perceived as having the patriarch wrapped around her thumb, Robyn revealed that her beau's suspicion about women, stemming from the fear of his three ex-wives leaving, strained their connection.
The 45-year-old mentioned her efforts to "constantly get him to remember and realize that not all women are bad." In an emotional recounting of a conversation with Kody, Robyn described feeling like he was metaphorically "lining up all the women" and shooting them down, a metaphor for his struggles with trust. In her words:
"I feel like you're lining up all the women. I'm there with them, and you're [imitates a machine gun], you know, shooting them all down. And that's not fair because just because you're having some issues with other women in your life or a woman or whatever, doesn't mean that we're all bad."

The TV personality disclosed that she had to keep preventing her husband from sabotaging their marriage with unnecessary conflicts. She noted that the strain was caused by their differing responses to the challenges that emerged within the family.
According to the reality TV star, while she mourned the changes, Kody was engulfed in anger and reluctant to share in her feelings of loss.
Robyn Brown's Plea For Off-Camera Healing With Sister Wives
During a different "Sister Wives: One-on-One Special" episode, Robyn expressed her desire for a break from the cameras to navigate the complex dynamics with her former sister wives, Christine, Janelle, and Meri.
The often controversial wife in Kody's former plural marriage noted her need for reassurance from the women beyond the lens. While Sukanya Krishnan assured Robyn of affirmations from the women, she stressed that these sentiments had not been conveyed to her in private discussions.
In the exclusive sneak peek, the star asserted, "They haven't shared it with me off-camera," before revealing that being the only wife left experiencing happiness with Kody felt "disrespectful."
To buttress her point, she expressed her unwavering dedication to the family: "My commitment to them, to their kids, to Kody about this family, it's not broken, and I don't know how to break it. I don't know how to be done with it."
