'Stranger Things' Caleb McLaughlin's Contract Shows He Only Made $1,000 More Per Ep for Season 2

After "Stranger Things" became a gigantic success following the first season, most people thought the kids who starred in it would get dump trucks of cash backed up to their house ... but for at least one of them, that doesn't appear to be the case.

According to the original minor's contract filed for 15-year-old Caleb McLaughlin, and obtained by The Blast, he made $20,000 per episode for season one of "Stranger Things," which is not too shabby.

For the second season, however, the documents state McLaughlin made $21,000 per episode ... which ends up only being an extra $9,000 for the nine episodes.

Seeing as the show is one of Netflix's biggest hits, it's odd that the boy who plays Lucas -- one of the main characters -- didn't get the big payday everyone assumed.

The show has already been picked up for a third season, and according to McLaughlin's contract he will be paid $22,050 per episode for that. If his character survives into season four, he'll get $23,152.50 per episode.

As we previously reported, Sadie Sinkmade $23,625 per episode, and she just joined up in the second season. So ... if Caleb's managers and agents didn't yet score him a new contract with a huge raise ... Netflix should be expecting a call any minute.
