Viral Burger King Employee Now King Of His Own Castle!

When Kevin Ford went viral for sharing what he was gifted from his job after 27 years of work without missing a day, he couldn't have imagined all that would happen next.

The longtime Las Vegas Burger King employee is now seeing his hard work pay off in a way bigger than imagined - as king of his own castle!

Ford, whose daughter started a GoFundMe page for him in June 2022 after her father's story went viral, used the money for something amazing - a new home! The dedicated Burger King employee recently shared a TikTok video announcing his exciting news.

"I wanted to show you something. Something you made possible," he began his video before panning over to show his new home! "I know it's not a mansion, but it's mine."

He went on to thank everyone for their support and all they've done for him. He never thought he would be a homeowner and now he's the king of his very own castle.

"Now, my kids and my grandkids have some place to come visit me," he said. "I just want to thank everybody for being a part of this miracle and for everything you've done for me, and you continue to do for me every day. This is truly the American dream. It's a Christmas miracle."

Ford told TMZ that he was able to buy the house with the money raised from the GoFundMe. While the fundraising page has raised nearly $500,000, he walked away with about $350,000 because GoFundMe takes a percentage. He used about half of the money to buy his new home in Pahrump, Nevada, about an hour outside of Vegas, for $177,000. The home boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with views of the mountains.

Some of the money he had left over from the fundraiser went to his daughter so she could put it toward her own home, and the rest went into the bank for retirement.

When word got out that Ford has worked at the same Burger King for 27 years, never missed a day, not even during the pandemic, and only got a goodie bag as a token of appreciation from his employer, many people started to share their support online. And once the GoFundMe page was created by his daughter, Ford was certainly feeling the love from everyone.

"Hi, My name is Seryna. The man in that video is my father. He has worked at his job for 27 years and yes, he has never missed a day of work. He originally began working at this job as a single father when he gained custody of me and my older sister 27 years ago.," the GoFundMe description reads.

"My dad continues to work there, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement. In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money but if anyone feels like blessing him he would love to visit his grandchildren."

People from near and far flocked to the fundraising page to donate and leave messages for Ford. He's also shared his journey online on TikTok and Instagram.
