Gypsy Rose Blanchard is enjoying every second of her newfound freedom, as she was recently seen popping bottles of wine and partying with family members.

The 32-year-old was released early on parole on December 28 after being sentenced to 10 years in prison for the death of her mother, Clauddine Dee Dee Blanchard, who was murdered by her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.

Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen by proxy, as her mother had subjected her to years of physical and mental abuse by convincing her that she was sick and needed to be confined to a wheelchair.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Celebrates Her Freedom

Following her release from prison, Gypsy's family threw her a huge party to help her celebrate her freedom.

The ex-convict, who was picked up yesterday from Chillicothe Correctional Center in northern Missouri by her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, could be seen in photos partying and popping wine bottles.

The pictures were uploaded by her stepsister, Mia Blanchard, and showed Gypsy with a massive smile on her face while surrounded by her loved ones. Those present at the party were her husband, her father, Rod Blanchard, her stepsister, Mia, and her stepmother, Kristy Blanchard.

In 2015, Gypsy plotted with her ex-boyfriend Godejohn, whom she'd met on the internet, to kill her mother, Dee Dee. The gruesome murder incident came after Dee Dee spent all of Gypsy's childhood and early teen years convincing her and the whole world that she had leukemia and muscular dystrophy.

Gypsy was made to use a wheelchair, told she was allergic to all kinds of sugar, and restricted from friends and family. The abuse eventually ended when Godejohn snuck into their residence and murdered Dee Dee at Gypsy's request.

She revealed in her documentary, "Mummy Dead and Dearest," that she hid in the bathroom of their home while Godejohn carried out the deed.

Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years and was slated for release in 2025. Only in September 2023, after hundreds of social media users, friends, and relatives begged for leniency, the court granted her early parole.

They asked authorities to consider the years of abuse and medical treatments Gypsy endured under her late mother.

Amid her release, there has been a call for the freedom of Godejohn, whom many believe was manipulated by Gypsy to kill her mother.

Godejohn, who had no prior history of violence, claimed that he killed Dee Dee out of love for Gypsy and a desire to see her free from her mother.

During their trial, text messages between the pair revealed that the former couple had made plans to start a life together, and even had baby names picked out for their future kids.

"I felt horrible about it. When me and her were in the hotel room … she [Gypsy] kept on telling me, 'Stop crying, stop crying. There's no reason, reason to cry. It was my idea, it wasn't yours. I … did what I did because I loved her. I really wanted a life with her, I really did," Godejohn said of the incident, per People.
