Kyle Richards is embracing the best physical version of herself amid her split from Mauricio Umansky; however, it has nothing to do with her estranged husband.
While it is common for people to handle breakups with a revenge body era, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star is not opting for the popular trend. She claims her fitness journey was inspired by a need to get her mind and body on track instead of being influenced by her former beau.
Kyle Richards Says Looks From Fitness Is A 'Bonus' Not 'A Revenge Body'
In a new cover story, Richards recently raved about her incredible figure and how she achieved the "best shape" of her life at 54. Since the transition occurred after her split from Umansky, many labeled her new figure as her "revenge body." However, she refuted these claims, saying:
"It's certainly not meant to be a revenge body. It's meant to be an I-feel-good body."

According to Richards, she achieved her banging new body after changing her perspective on working out and no longer seeing it as a means to "lose weight." She implored other women not to give up on achieving their dream figure, regardless of age. In the 54-year-old's words:
"Now it's for me — first and foremost, my mental health. The fact that it makes me look good is just a bonus. I think back to when I was in my 20s and 30s — and I look better than I did then, and that's after having four kids — [I realize] it's definitely never too late."
The newest cover of US Weekly captured the results of Richards' hard work, with the TV personality looking better than ever. Since she clarified that Umansky had nothing to do with her impressive fitness journey, it left one wondering why she changed.
The mother of four explained she decided to embrace her physical transformation after an unhealthy moment in 2022. Following a breast reduction surgery, Richards enjoyed a "vacation in Europe, eating pasta and drinking wine and cocktails." However, by the end of the trip, she could no longer recognize herself. In her words:
"I had also just lost my best friend to suicide, and I wasn't taking care of myself. And [it was] making me feel more depressed. So after we left, I said, 'That's it. I'm not going to have bad carbs — no sugar, no pasta, no bread, no alcohol. And I'm going to work out every single day.'"
Richards noted she began seeing results "pretty fast" by removing alcohol and repeating her workout routines. "I've always worked out, but I was doing the same thing on repeat," she said. "I'd go on hikes and spin. I started including weights, hot yoga, running… especially when going through a hard time. It really clears my head."
Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Are 'Getting Along' For The Holidays
Richards and Umansky, who announced their separation in July, sparked speculations about the status of their estrangement following a harmonious family picture. The couple reunited weeks earlier for a family outing at the famed LA shopping center.
The reality TV star opened up about the outing to sources, explaining that her relationship with Umansky was "good enough for The Grove." Richards confirmed the event showcased the duo's amicable relationship and insisted they were "getting along."
Additionally, she revealed the pair planned to spend Christmas together as a united family. However, Richards refuted the reconciliation rumors, noting the pair's reunion for the holidays did not signify a rekindled romance. Instead, the former spouses were "just taking everything a day at a time."
Their outing at the popular LA shopping center was not the only thing that sparked the reunion speculations. Before stepping out together, Richards and Umansky reunited with their children for a heartwarming family photo.
The family exuded holiday cheer in the snap; however, their bright smiles, as Richards said, did not imply a reconciliation. Sources also noted the duo's relationship status remains ambiguous as they attended separate therapy sessions.
Insiders revealed the pair were not actively addressing the issues that led to their separation and desired the space to explore other people. In their words: "Look, they may get back together, but they may not. They just don't know right now. They will decide at some point whether they stay married, but not now."
