A month after the unfortunate passing of Taylor Swift's fan, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, her official cause of death has finally been revealed. The young woman passed away while waiting for the singer to perform at her show in Rio, Brazil.
Ana's death led to protests against the show organizers, who reportedly prevented fans from bringing in water bottles, especially during a period when Brazil was experiencing extreme temperatures. Now, according to reports, Ana died from "heat exhaustion."
Late Swiftie's Cause Of Death Revealed
According to an autopsy report on the late Swiftie Ana Clara, she died from "heat exhaustion" after waiting for hours under extreme temperatures.
On November 17, at the first show of "The Eras Tour" in Rio de Janeiro, when temperatures reached 105F, the 23-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest as Swift was performing her second song of the evening, "Cruel Summer."
Ana was reportedly immediately rushed to the nearby hospital from the Nilton Santos Stadium, where she was eventually pronounced dead.
UPDATE FROM BRAZIL:

Per the report (via Daily Mail), Ana was exposed to extreme heat, which sent her into cardiovascular shock that harmed her lungs and resulted in her dying. The investigation also showed that Ana died from alveolar hemorrhage, which is a rupture of the blood vessels that supply the lungs, and Polyvisceral congestion, the heat-induced paralysis of the lungs.
It has also been confirmed that the university student was found free of pre-existing conditions or any form of substance abuse at the time of her death.
The stadium where the "Eras Tour" show was held was under extreme temperatures, with the heat index reaching above 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and to worsen things, fans were not allowed to carry in their own water.
According to firefighters who were seen in videos spraying the crowd of fans with water to cool them down, at least 1,000 fans passed out because of the severe heat.
Taylor Swift Expressed Shock And Sadness At The Loss Of Ana
Shortly after news of the late fan got to Taylor Swift, the pop star shared a note detailing how "shattered" she was.
"I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it's with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young," Swift wrote.
"I'm not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it. I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends," the singer continued.
After Ana's passing, her family was spotted at Swift's concert wearing shirts with her face on them. The young woman has since been laid to rest, and her father has demanded an investigation into the organizers of the show for prohibiting fans from bringing in their water.

On November 18, Ana's father, Weiny Machado, spoke to a local newspaper, Folha De Sao Paulo, about his daughter's tragic death.
He said, "I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl. She was about to graduate in Psychology next April, saving money. I have no words to express my pain. She left home to fulfill a dream and came back dead."
Ana's passing was officially confirmed by Time for Fun (T4F), the concert organizer. The company released a statement on X, formerly Twitter, which read, "Last night, Ana Clara felt unwell and was promptly attended to by the team of firefighters and paramedics, being taken to the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos [on-site medic] for first aid protocol."
Weiny told the news outlet that he wanted the organizers, T4F, investigated, noting the prohibition of water into the stadium despite the immense heat.
"I want it to be found out whether they were in fact, prohibited from bringing water, whether there was negligence in providing assistance. I know that the singer was handing out water to her fans, and that is absurd for an event of this size," Weiny stated.
He added, "Nothing will bring my daughter back, but I hope that, if negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished so that this doesn't happen to anyone else."
