Beyoncé believes her and her family's safety would be at risk if details about an upcoming deposition were to be made public — but a board disagrees and has shot down her request to keep the details under wraps.

As The Blast first reported, Bey filed the request as part of an ongoing legal battle over her attempt to trademark "Blue Ivy Carter." An event planner named Veronica Morales claims the name is too close to her own Blue Ivy company.

Bey's legal team filed documents to try and make private any information surrounding a possible deposition in an effort to "reduce the dangerous pandemonium that so often marks Mrs. Carter’s public appearances."

But earlier this week, the Trademark Trial and Appeal board came back with their ruling and denied Bey's motion, saying they did not find any of her arguments about the claims of fearing for her family’s safety to be persuasive.

The case remains ongoing.
