Mariah Carey's Ex-Boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, has finally confirmed their separation, noting that they ended their relationship "amicably."

The duo, who have been dating for almost eight years, never had kids, with reports claiming that Tanaka was interested in having children with the star. Amid news of their separation, there has been speculation that it was due to the former couple being at different points in their lives.

The dancer went on to show his "love" and "appreciation" for Carey and her kids, whom he described as "incredible," noting that their "warmth" and "kindness" enriched his life in "ways words cannot capture."

Carey has two kids, Moroccan and Monroe, from her former relationship with comedian and actor Nick Cannon.

"He wants to have a family. That's not where she is at," a source told Page Six. The source revealed to the news outlet that the age gap difference of 14 years between the former couple played a part in causing the end of their relationship.
