Love was in the air in Hollywood this year as we saw several of our favorite stars tie the knot with their significant others. While some had extravagant occasions, others took the lowkey and intimate route for their nuptials.

From Marvel star Chris Evans, to A-list actress Naomi Watts, here are some fantastic wedding stories of 2023 that had the internet in a joyful mood.

"Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm became a husband to his girlfriend of two years, Anna Osceola, on June 24, 2023. The duo had their cozy ceremony in California, at the Anderson Canyon in Big Sur.  They were first acquainted in 2015 when Osceola played a receptionist role in the last series of "Mad Men." Fast forward to 2020, they went public with their romance.

The couple's wedding venue was the exact filming location for the "Mad Men" finale, and according to the 52-year-old actor, it might have taken him a long time to walk down the aisle, but he was glad to get it right.

"It was very exciting. We did it this summer in beautiful Big Sur. It was a perfect day. It was very sparsely attended, by our decision. It was small, and man, it was great," the actor emphasized during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!."

Although Hamm has never been married, he left a long-term relationship that lasted 18 years before his romance with Osceola. In September 2022, Hamm mentioned on "The Howard Show" that getting married and having children have become a possibility in his life.

"King Kong" star Naomi Watts secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend of six years, Billy Crudup. The pair disclosed what they did at the courthouse over the summer, and fans were stunned.

Clearly, the duo wanted to keep their marriage in-house, and fans were elated at the news. In a beautiful Instagram post shared on June 10, 2023, Watts and Crudup were seen wearing formal outfits and smiling on their faces on the steps of a New York City courthouse.

Watts and Crudup started their romance in 2017 after starring as a couple in a Netflix series titled "Gypsy." Although they were in a committed relationship, the duo decided to keep things under wraps, away from the prying eyes of the media.

In February 2022, they debuted their first outing when they graced the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet. In April of the same year, Watts was spotted wearing a diamond ring when she appeared on "Today."

Chris Evans is one of the most proficient actors in Hollywood's history, and by extension, anyone he marries is automatically loved and adored by fans worldwide.

The actor and his now-wife, Alba Baptista, used two beautiful private ceremonies to tie the knot in September. Although fans were kept in the dark for a few weeks, the Marvel star finally disclosed that he was hitched in October.

"We kinda had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast, and we did one in Portugal-- my wife's Portuguese. They were beautiful," Evans told Entertainment Weekly.

In November 2022, "The Gray Man" actor hinted at getting married, although he only stated that he was ready to go down that path. "That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family," he said.

Tish Cyrus and her partner, “Prison Break” star Dominic Purcell, got hitched at an intimate wedding in Malibu, California. The duo's romance took their fans by surpris especially after Tish's split from Billy Ray Cyrus.

In May, Tish took to her Instagram page to announce that she had gotten engaged to Purcell after dating for a short while. The manager and producer posted several images showing off her gorgeous bling, a square-cut diamond, on her finger. 

On her wedding day, Tish looked stunning in a beautiful strapless floor-length wedding dress. In the traditional manner, she also had her veil clipped to the back of her hair, with the blonde locks falling past her shoulders.

On the other hand, Purcell looked handsome in a simple white long-sleeve shirt. The actor wore his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a couple of buttons on his shirt undone, revealing his white tank top and chest underneath.

Dolph Lundgren and his longtime partner Emma Krokdal married at a private wedding ceremony in Mykonos. The couple first got engaged in 2020 and finally decided to tied the knot in front of a small group of family and friends.

Lundgren and Krokdal  spoke to People Magazine about their decision to marry and stated that they’d had to “push [their] marriage plans many times” because of the Covid-19 pandemic and other health issues. The couple added, “We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness— in the land of the Gods.”

The movie star was previously married to jewelry designer and stylist Anette Qviberg from 1994 until 2011. Lundgren had two daughters with Qviberg during their marriage, 27-year-old Ida and 21-year-old Greta.

On October 11, Miley Cyrus' father, Billy, shocked the internet when he announced he had tied the knot with his lover, Firerose. The pair shared the cutest photos of their big day on Instagram, and fans were all over it.

The photos showed the lovers standing on a vast green field dressed in a flowing white dress and black tuxedo.

"10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined. For both of us to hear the preacher say, 'Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus... I now pronounce you husband and wife' that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love,'" Billy captioned the post.

Billy mentioned to People Magazine in November 2022 that he first met his now-wife on the "Hannah Montana" set when she auditioned for a role. Unfortunately, she did not get the role. It is unclear if the pair stayed in touch all those years, but their friendship became romantic after Billy's marriage to Tish Cyrus ended in April 2022.

The pair's love story blossomed in no time, and now, they are married. We wish them all the best in this new endeavor.
