When there's a question about paternity, who else do you call other than Maury Povich himself?
The Denver Zoo did exactly that when they weren't sure who the papa was of their 4-month-old Sumatran orangutan named Siska.
Who's The Daddy? Denver Zoo Calls In Maury Povich For Orangutan Paternity Reveal
When you need DNA results read, there's no better person to call than an expert with tons of years of experience giving what's often shocking results.
Jake Kubié, the Denver Zoo's director of integrated communications, told PEOPLE magazine that Povich was the first person that came to mind to deliver the long-awaited paternity results.
"Apparently I was a bigger Maury Povich fan than I thought, and his voice just popped into my head," Kubié said. "I thought maybe he'd be open to doing this for us."
After finding Povich's executive producer online, Kubié was connected with his executive assistant who reached out to Povich with the idea of helping the zoo announce the baby orangutan's dad. Since Mama Eirina was matched with two orangutans at the zoo - Berani and Jaya - it was time to find out who the papa is of little Siska.
A video shared on the Denver Zoo's Instagram page was captioned, "Fresh off receiving the Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Honor, Maury Povich is here to help us announce the paternity results for Siska, our four-month-old Sumatran orangutan! Is Siska's father thirty-year-old Berani or 16-year-old Jaya? Check out the video for the big reveal and be sure to say hi to all our Critically Endangered orangutans during your next visit to the Zoo!"
"Now, we want to thank the Denver Zoo for everything they do, but this is really important," Povich said in the video. "When it comes to the orangutan, 4-month-old Siska, Berani, you ARE the father!"

Social media followers were excited to hear the DNA results delivered by Povich.
"You actually got Maury?! Also congrats Berani," one person wrote. Another added, "Oh my god, as a 42-year-old, pay your SEO a million dollars for coming up with this!!!!!!" Another simply wrote, "This might be the best thing we’ve ever seen."
Kubié said that Siska's birth in August was a "huge deal." Sumatran orangutans are a critically endangered species with a global population of only 10,000 to 13,000.
Eirina was matched up with two potential mates, so no one knew who Siska's father was until Povich stepped in to make the big announcement.
Berani, 30, has lived at the zoo for a long time and has been a father. Jaya, 16, was brought to the zoo a few years ago as part of a Species Survival Plan that the zoo works on in conjunction with other accredited zoos.
The Denver Zoo Documented Much Of Eirina's Pregnancy On Social Media
When Eirina was in the early stages of pregnancy, she was dealing with some morning sickness. The zoo's animal care and health teams came up with a great way to help her through the rough moments of not feeling well.
"Early in her pregnancy, they noticed she wasn’t feeling well in the morning and was showing signs of morning sickness. Our animal care and health teams decided to try giving Eirina a special pregnancy tea to help soothe her tummy. We’re happy to share that this tea has worked wonders!" the caption of a video of pregnant Eirina drinking her tea reads.
"After her morning tea, Eirina is more active and seems to feel better throughout the day. This just so happens to be the same tea that Animal Care Specialist Cindy C. drank when she was pregnant, so she’s delighted that this remedy is helping Eirina feel better as well."

Eirina gave birth on Sunday, August 27 to a healthy baby, who is believed to be a girl and whose name is yet to be determined," the announcement reads. "While all our baby births are precious, this is a huge conservation win for the Critically Endangered species and we’re happy to share that mom and baby are doing well!"
