Nearly two decades following Hayek and Penélope Cruz's collaboration in the 2006 film "Bandidas," the longtime friends reunited last week to partake in a luncheon celebrating Cruz, 49, for her performance in "Ferrari."

Hosted by Hayek, 57, and Kristen Stewart, the event drew notable attendees such as Alicia Silverstone, Geena Davis, and Vin Diesel.

Although "Bandidas" stands as the sole film collaboration between Hayek and Cruz, their friendship has endured beyond the set throughout the years, starting from Cruz's initial arrival in Los Angeles. During this period, the two actresses had only connected over the phone, having never met face-to-face. Nevertheless, Hayek went above and beyond to extend the warmest of welcomes to Cruz during her introduction to the City of Angels.

"I was coming here for two months, and I didn't know anyone here," Cruz shared last year during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "And [Salma] picked me up and said, 'You're not going to the hotel. You're coming to my house because this is hard at the beginning, and you're going to feel very lonely.'"
