Renee Graziano is committed to staying sober. The reality television star has reportedly transferred from a Texas rehabilitation center to one owned by ex-NBA star Lamar Odom in line with sticking with her sobriety after reaching a 40-day milestone.
Graziano's relocation stemmed from her reaching out to Odom for treatment of trauma, a service unavailable at her previous program.
Renee Graziano Transfers To Lamar Odom's Wellness Center
Graziano's journey to recovery has led her from a rehabilitation center in Texas to the Vanity Wellness Treatment Center in Sherman Oaks, California, where she is under the care of Odom, someone familiar with the challenges of substance abuse.
A representative for the former basketball player stated that he reached out to the "Mob Wives" star via Instagram after she made headlines for her rehab stay in November. Lamar asked her to let him know if she needed anything during her treatment.
The 44-year-old also shared information with Graziano about the services provided at his facility, and she accepted his offer two weeks ago. According to sources, she reached out to Lamar, stating that she needed treatment for extensive trauma.
She explained that her program did not offer the type of care she required. Without delay, Odom facilitated her admission process to his facility, and she checked in last Thursday after flying to California from Texas.
So far, everything is progressing well, with Graziano expressing satisfaction with the program. Per TMZ, the 54-year-old intends to remain for an additional 60 days, focusing on her sobriety, mental health, and physical well-being.
It is worth noting that she has also received support from other celebrities, including seeking assistance from "The Hills" star Jason Wahler's foundation, Red Songbird. The foundation is dedicated to helping individuals grappling with substance abuse and trauma-related mental health issues.
The collective support she has received has served as a pillar of strength, offering both the resources and the motivation needed to persevere in her ongoing battle against addiction and trauma.
Graziano's Recent Substance Overdose Birthed Her Need To Deal With Addiction & Trauma
Graziano's dedication to getting her life together began after she experienced a drug overdose several months ago. The daughter of Anthony Graziano, former consigliere of the Bonanno crime family, shared the harrowing experience with her manager, Chris Giovanni.
She confided in Giovanni that she nearly lost her life in mid-September due to what she referred to as a "bad batch" of drugs. Even though she did not specify the substance, the VH1 personality mentioned acquiring it from a dealer.
The details of how Graziano survived the near-death experience remain unclear, as she did not provide further information about the incident. The limited details in the television personality's account may be attributed to time constraints during her discussion with her manager from the rehabilitation center.
Giovanni claimed that the former "Celebrity Big Brother" participant, accompanied by a counselor, was allotted 10 minutes for her call. He mentioned that the limited details he received from his client aligned with the challenges he faced in communicating with her.
The celebrity manager stated that their contact had been sporadic and brief from her September entry. Graziano's recent drug relapse, as explained by Giovanni, is connected to the death of her father, who died in May 2019.
Regrettably, the mother of one faced more heartbreak beyond the loss of her father. In January 2022, she found herself on the wrong side of the law for driving while impaired. The incident involved Graziano crashing her car into a parked SUV on Staten Island, leading to her arrest. It was during that period that she sought assistance from Wahler and his Red Songbird Foundation to address her struggles with addiction to sleeping pills.
Regarding her recent near-death overdose, the entertainer's manager clarified that there is no ongoing investigation into the incident, as Graziano did not report it to the authorities.
