According to family sources who spoke to TMZ, the girls are finding it challenging to deal with the loss of their mom, and the family is considering seeking therapy to help them navigate through the grieving process.

Per the insider, Cardwell's 11-year-old daughter Kaitlyn unexpectedly spoke at her funeral, where she shared memories of her mom with the attendees, bringing both tears and laughter.

However, despite Kaitlyn's brave moment at the funeral, the family is contemplating the potential benefits of professional therapy for her moving forward.

According to sources, Kaitlyn, who is now in the custody of her grandmother, Mama June, actively supported her mother, Cardwell, during her battle with cancer, ensuring she took her medicine and provided constant companionship.

On the other hand, Cardwell's younger daughter, 8-year-old Kylee, is currently residing with her biological father, Michael. Per the insider, coping with her mother's death has been challenging for Kylee, who, due to her age, may find it harder to comprehend the situation. Despite this, she returned to school, seeking comfort from friends.

Like Kaitlyn, the family is contemplating the possibility of arranging therapy for Kylee to provide emotional support during this difficult time. Still, it remains uncertain if Kylee's father will pursue therapy. However, the sisters have been supporting each other through phone calls amid their grief.

Late Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's Husband Eldridge Toney Shared Her Final Moment

In a recent interview with People magazine, Cardwell's husband, Eldridge Toney, shared intimate details about her final moments. The couple married privately in March after the reality star was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January.

Eldridge, who stood by his wife throughout her cancer journey and was there when she passed away, recalled the emotional experience. He shared that Cardwell's family gathered to support her in her final moments, stating: "Everyone was crying and freaking out because we all knew what was happening. I did my best to be calm for her. I rubbed my hands through her hair, held her hand, and told her it was going to be OK."

He added: "I was holding her hand when she took her final breath." During the interview, the widower expressed his commitment to honor Cardwell's dying wish for her girls to know their mother and pledged always to "do right" by them.

"The day before she passed, we had our talk and said our goodbyes. Her dying wish was for her girls to grow up knowing who their mother was. And I promised I would do right by the girls always. I will spend my life doing right by Anna and the girls," Eldridge shared.

She Filmed Her Cancer Battle To Raise Awareness

During the interview, Toney revealed that Cardwell had filmed episodes for the upcoming season of her family's WeTV reality show, "Mama June: Family Crisis" before her tragic passing.

"The filming was something that Anna wanted to do," the widower shared. "She wanted to bring awareness to her rare type of cancer because there is still so much unknown about it and it is very rare."

Additionally, family members also shared at her funeral that filming her final days was done because "that's what she wanted." The crew members for the reality series were also during the funeral as they were considered "friends and family." However, the funeral service itself was not recorded for the show.
