Keke Palmer's ex Darius Jackson has fired back at her claims of abuse in her domestic violence case, claiming she is the one abusing him.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jackson stated that Palmer "punched" and "choked" him on several occasions, and is saying she is the violent one in the relationship.
Keke Palmer's Ex Darius Jackson Claims She Was The 'Primary Aggressor'
In the filing, Jackson asked the court to deny Palmer's request for a restraining order against him as well as her request to have sole custody of their toddler son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson.
Keke Palmer "has repeatedly engaged in abusive conduct and should be restrained from further acts of abuse," his filing read. He argued that the court cannot grant a "mutual" restraining order unless it determines "both parties acted as a primary aggressor" and not in self-defense.
Citing examples of when the Nickelodeon alum allegedly abused him, Jackson claimed "OnAugust20,2021,LaurenpunchedDariusinthefaceatabirthday party."
Just two months after the incident, he alleged that Palmer "violentlygripped" his armtoprevent himfromleavingherhouse. The acclaimed fitness instructor claims Palmer's abuse also harassed him with phone calls and text messages.
"OnNovember17,2021,afterDariustoldherhewouldnotspendthe nightwithher,Laurencalledhimover200timesandsenthimover 50emails," the filing stated. Palmer also allegedly choked and called her father's kid names such as a "b--ch, a punk a--, and a loser."
In the filing, Jackson claims the "Hustlers" actress was "verbally and physically abusive" especially after consuming alcohol which made her "agitated and aggressive." He alleged that during the August 2021 incident when Palmer supposedly punched him she had been drinking.
"Petitioner punched me in the face at a birthday party. Her friend, Lenoria Addison, was present and tried to stop (Keke). Later, (she) apologized."
Jackson backed up his claim with a screenshot of a text message from Palmer where she apologized for hitting him.
"I'm sorry for hitting you. I'm sorry for being afraid to lose you and that turning into me acting out of fear and desperation," she wrote. "That was not the best me that you received and I'm sorry for that. I am mad at the situation, I'm mad at myself..."
The 29-year-old continued, claiming during a January 2022 argument, she "punched the windshield of my car while I was driving." He attached a payment receipt of $600 with the description "for windshield."
Darius Jackson: Keke Palmer Was "Punching And Hitting Me"
More accusations claimed that the "Akeelah and the Bee" star went fully physical on Jackson on January 15, 2022, while they were in Cancun for his birthday when they had an altercation.
"She continued to berate me as we returned to the hotel. I tried to leave to give her space to calm down, but she grabbed my arm to prevent me from leaving. [Keke] then started punching and hitting me, causing me to drop my phone. She grabbed the phone and kept it from me," he wrote.
Jackson continued, "I eventually locked myself in the bathroom to avoid any further verbal and physical attacks. Her attack that night left several bruises and marks on my body." He also added that the stills from the footage that Palmer submitted excluded the moment she "attacked him by choking and hitting."
The internet personality even claimed that Palmer got rough with their eight-month-old in September 2023 when they were arguing.
"On September 26, 2023, [Keke] and I had been arguing about our relationship. Leodis was crying while I was changing his diaper," the court document claimed. 'She was bothered and wanted to pick him up. I asked her to wait until I was finished, but she ignored me. She aggressively pulled Leodis away during the diaper change. At that point, I packed my bags to go to another hotel."
Jackson's allegations bear an eerie resemblance to Palmer's claims in her November 9 filing where she alleged "Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, then physically attacked me – lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police."
The case is ongoing, it is now in the hands of a judge.
