Former West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James is not just making motorcycles anymore -- he also handcrafts custom firearms -- and just debuted a custom weapon for President Donald Trump.
The ex "Monster Garage" star told Maxim he decided it was fitting for the 45th President to have a .45 caliber pistol based off a 1911 and made by James' custom firearm shop.
The firearm is plated in 24-karat gold, and when it's not in use, rests in a wooden box made from one of George Washington's 13 Chestnut trees with "DJT" and "45th" engraved.
James says he wants to sell the gun to Trump, because that way he would personally own it. If a gift is given to the President it technically becomes property of the people and would more than likely end up in a Presidential library.
As for the price of the firearm -- James wouldn't give an exact amount, but said some of his higher end pieces sell for over $100,000.
The ex-husband of Sandra Bullock is finding success at becoming a gunsmith, he says he's also made firearms for Kid Rock, Eric Clapton and even Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
