Mama June Shares 'Mental' Struggles Amid Daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's Death

Reality TV star Mama June Shannon is grappling with overwhelming emotional and mental distress following the death of her daughter, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell.

The news of Cardwell's passing comes after reports of her diagnosis with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in March.

Mama June recently revealed that there will be a window of opportunity for fans to pay their last respects in a public memorial service on Wednesday.

Cardwell passed away on Saturday after battling cancer for an extended period, and her death is affecting her mother in ways she can't comprehend.

Mama June recently took to social media to share with fans how she's been coping with the loss of her oldest daughter.

The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" alum told her followers that Cardwell's death has left her devastated as her absence continues to reverberate.

"My mind is so emotionally and mentally mind -----  right now," Mama June said in a post on Instagram and TikTok. "It's so quiet in here, the machines aren't running, [Anna's] not sitting in here watching cooking shows, and it's just so quiet."

"The chair that she was in, nobody is sitting in it right now because it has a blanket and a pillow that she used, and that's where she passed away," she added.

Mama June went on to share in her post that she and her family members will be allowing fans to pay their last respects in a public memorial service on Wednesday.

"At [the] White Columns funeral home in Gordon, Georgia, we are allowing y'all to come from 2 to 3 o'clock for visitation," she stated. "At 3 o'clock, her service will happen … it will be a short but amazing service."

It comes after she announced in an Instagram post that Cardwell passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones and family members.

"With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us," Mama June wrote on Instagram. "She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one h--- of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her."

Cardwell will reportedly be cremated, and her ashes will be shared among family members after an open-casket funeral.

The open-casket funeral will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and fans to say their final goodbyes and pay their respects to her, as sources shared that it was what she wanted because of her close rapport with fans.

Her family is also planning on getting tattoos of her fingerprint, with her remains used to make "special jewelry or crystals" that contain her ashes. In addition, they will also get a memorial bench in her honor.

In the wake of Cardwell's tragic passing, Mama June has been granted custody of one of her late daughter's children, Kaitlyn.

The reality star and her eldest grandchild reportedly share a special bond, leading family members to agree that it is best for the 11-year-old to be moved to her grandmom's house as Mama June perfects plans to become her legal guardian.

Cardwell had two kids from two different men, and her second, Kylee, is now reportedly living with her biological father after the death of her mom. Sources told the news outlet that plans were already concluded by Cardwell for Kylee to move in with her father if anything happened to her.

At the time of her passing, she was married to her partner, Eldridge Toney, who plans to be present in her daughter's life, although he's not their father.

According to a report, Cardwell secretly tied the knot with Toney on March 4 in Wilkinson County, Georgia, while undergoing chemotherapy, after previously expressing her desire to wed two months prior while she still felt well enough.

The pair had planned to welcome a baby together before her diagnosis, enduring four miscarriages in the process. Toney reportedly treated Cardwell's kids like his own and is expected to remain in their lives despite their mother's death.
