The episode titled âHow to Deal With Abusive Relationship, Boundaries, and Narcissismâ had Palmer revealing that she thought everyoneâs relationship would look like her parentâs healthy marriage.
Opening up about how her naivety set her up for unhealthy relationships, Palmer said: âI think Iâve been really naive because my dad is great and my uncles are great. So misogyny came at me hard and quick, with the quickness. I grew up in a house where my mom would say, âThis is what it needs to be.â And Larry [her dad] would be like, âOkay, Sharon. Go on ahead, Sharon."
The mother-of-one continued, âSo, for me, when I entered outside of my household and I saw that everybody doesnât really respect their wives or even women in the way that my dad respects my mom, it was a pretty rude awakening.â
She also admitted to having problems establishing boundaries, adding that she has chosen happiness over her traumatic experiences in the abusive relationship.
Palmer And Jackson Agree To A Third-Party Mediation In Their Court Case
Earlier this month, Palmer and her baby daddy reached an agreement in regard to their legal battles. The domestic violence case, which was set to begin trial on December 5, was postponed after Palmer and her ex-boyfriend agreed to try out mediation.
The Blast confirmed that the judge ordered both parties to âParticipate in Mediationâ in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
The âTrue Jacksonâ actorâs legal team stated in their postponement request letter that their client and the respondent are both âconcurrently filing a Stipulation and Order to continue The Courtâs Order to Participate in Mediation currently set for November 29, 2023, and Petitionerâs Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order, which is currently set for December 5, 2023, to allow the parties time to attend mediation. The parties request that the Mediation and Petitionerâs DVRO be continued on a mutually agreeable date.â
Palmerâs legal team also attached her temporary restraining order granted by the court to the postponement request and added that both parties should stick to all the orders in the document.
The restraining order mandated a 100-yard distance between Palmer, and Jackson, as well as Leo, after Palmer submitted home surveillance pictures of Jackson physically abusing her.
