Gruesome Note Details Plan To Kill Transgender Teenager Brianna Ghey

During the trial for the murder of transgender teenager Brianna Ghey, a handwritten note, which was found in the bedroom of one of the suspects, was shown to the jury.

The note, which was found crumpled up, mapped out a "murder plan" to kill Ghey. It was titled “Saturday, 11th February, 2023. Victim: Brianna Ghey,” and referenced serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Ramirez and Harold Shipman.

The handwritten note was found in the bedroom of the 16-year-old suspect's bedroom, who has been identified as "Girl X" during the trial. It was located in a black Pukka notebook, according to police.

"Plan: Meet [suspect name] at wooden posts 1 p.m.," the note stated. "Walk down to library bus stop. Wait until Brianna gets off bus then the 3 of us walk to Linear park."

"Go to the pipe/tunnel area. I say code word to [suspect's name]. He stabs her in the back as I stab her in stomach," the note continued. "[Suspect] drags the body into the area. We both cover up the area with logs etc."

Brianna Ghey, who was a transgender teenager, was stabbed 28 times with a hunting knife after being lured to Linear Park on February 11.

Both suspects were spotted with Brianna earlier that day. They were arrested and their homes were searched, which is when the note was found. Both suspects, who are being identified as "Girl X" and "Boy Y" have pled not guilty to murder as they are blaming each other for the stabbing.

A smiley face and a heart were drawn on the top right-hand corner of the note. The jury also heard that Girl X and Boy Y had a fixation with torture, violence, and death. The two even reportedly drew up a “kill list” of child victims. Girl X even described herself as a “satanist”.

Text messages between "Girl X" and "Boy Y" were also revealed to the jury. "Girl X" texted "Boy Y" that "nobody would get [suspicious]" as people "already know she is depressed".

"I gave [Brianna] some today that should have been enough to kill her ... but she didn't die," the message read.

The two suspects discussed an alternate way of killing Brianna by giving her an ibuprofen gel in a McDonald's milkshake. Girl Y said the pills Boy X gave Brianna "might be slowly killing her".

Home Office consultant pathologist Dr Alison Armour, who testified in the trial, said of the 28 stab wounds, 14 were to the head and neck and 14 were to the chest, back, and sides. She added that the injuries were consistent with a "sustained and violent assault" with a bladed weapon, consistent with a hunting knife.

The jury heard of five "significant" injuries to the transgender teen, which resulted in wounds and damage to Brianna's left and right lungs, which were punctured. Six serious stab wounds were found on the right-side of Brianna's neck, which severed the jugular vein and carotid artery -- an injury that would have been sufficient to cause death from a "catastrophic hemorrhage", Dr. Armour said in court.
