Selena Gomez Goes Instagram OFFICIAL With Benny Blanco: 'My Happiest'

Selena Gomez seems to have found love again!

After months of being single and rumored to have dated the likes of Zayn Malik and Drew Taggert from Chaismokers, the beloved pop icon for the first time has seemingly confirmed having a man in her life.

Gomez confirmed the shocking news in the comment section of the Instagram account @popfactions after they published a post hinting that the "Single Soon" songstress is dating producer Benny Blanco.

Blanco is a renowned producer who is behind hit songs like Halsey & Khlaid's "Eastside" and Calvin Harris' "I Found You." He even collaborated with Gomez on "I Can't Get Enough" featuring J Blavin and Tainy.

The upload in question was initially uploaded on December 4 and featured a carousel of instances where Gomez might have hinted at her relationship with the 35-year-old songwriter. The post includes a clip of Gomez admitting she has a crush during an episode of "Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays."

There is also a screenshot of the "Only Murders In Building" star praising the release of Blanco's cookbook on her Instagram Story. "One of my favs releasing a cookbook," she wrote.

However, three days after @popfactions shared the post, Gomez did the unimaginable and wrote in the comments, "Facts," seemingly confirming they were telling the truth. But she didn't stop there.

The Rare Beauty founder then took things further in the comments section of her fan page @selenagomezbr2.0, giving insight into her romance with the Virginia native. He is my absolute everything in my heart."

When fans tried to slam her choice of the "Graduation" producer, Gomez didn't hold back as she responded, "then why has he been the best thing that ever happened to me. The end."

In another response to a critic, she penned, "lol yeah, and he's still better than anyone I've ever been with. Facts." Gomez continued clapping back at the hater, writing:

"I don't understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don't feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I'm done. if you can't accept me at my happiest then don't be in [my] life at all."

However, the final response to the criticism was Gomez posting a romantic photo of herself and Blanco on her Instagram Story. The Disney alum was seen resting on his shoulder while he lovingly placed his arm close to her face. However, most of Blanco's face was cropped out of the post.

It remains unclear when Gomez and Blanco became an item, but they first collaborated professionally in 2018.

Following Gomez's announcement, the internet went bezerk sharing their opinion about her dating life. One fan penned, "Selena is a highschooler mentally cause wdym you've probably been dating for a month, and he's already the best thing that happened to u?"

Another comment read, "I love her but this is embarrassing…he literally talked down on her to lift up her ex." Others suggested her relationship with Blanco was inspired by her ex Justin Bieber.

"She has not moved on yet. Justin still lives rent-free in her head," remarked another fan. This comment read, "Girl we not about to play with you… He dissed your makeup line (which is now worth over a billion dollars so jokes on him.) and then made fun of your career as a Musician, need I go on??? However, it wasn't all criticism as one Internet user defended her, writing, "She doesn’t have to defend her dating choices. her happiness is all that matters."

Another fan added, "I just hope it works out, she deserves happiness," while this remark read, "She's free to love who her heart wants, everyone deserves to feel loved."
