Mark Salling's family was worried he would hurt himself, and rushed to the police station in the early hours of the morning to alert authorities and try and save his life.

According to the emergency dispatch audio obtained by The Blast, authorities said Salling "suffers from depression and is suicidal." They also said he was last seen at 11:30 PM wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black pants. Cops noted he was driving a black Infinity.

As we previously reported, one of Salling's family members went to the LAPD early Tuesday morning and reported the actor missing.

Salling's body was found Tuesday morning around 9 AM near a river bed in Sunland, CA. He was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent suicide.

The late "Glee" star's family told The Blast, "I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning. Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected."

As The Blast first reported, Salling worked out a plea agreement in October where he agreed to plead guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor.

Salling had agreed to a sentence of 4-7 years in his plea deal.
