Jeremy Renner Sparks War Machine Resemblance At JFK

The "Avengers: Endgame" star took the skies nearly a year after his near-death experience, traveling through New York City's JFK Airport on December 6. The TV personality looked better than ever in the pictures taken by paparazzi, walking smartly to catch his flight with the aid of compression devices strapped to his calves.

In the snaps, the two-time Academy Award nominee tried to go incognito with an all-black ensemble consisting of a buttoned-up winter jacket, pants, and a baseball cap. The entertainer added a splash of color with his red luggage box and carried a black backpack.

Fans of the superhero franchise may remember that Rhodes, aka the War Machine, regained the ability to walk after Tony Stark created leg braces based on the exoskeleton mechanics of his Iron Man suit. While the 52-year-old did not have the same fancy brace, the media personality's compression devices served a similar purpose.

The "Mayor of Kingstown" star wore two of the compression devices on his legs. These gadgets aid walking by improving blood flow, reducing pain, and combating swelling. Additionally, the high-tech gear marked a significant milestone in Renner's recovery, as he previously moved with a cane, per TMZ.

Renner began using the cane less than four months after his accident. In April, the Screen Actors Guild Award recipient returned to the spotlight for the blue carpet event at his "Rennervations" premiere.

The father of one looked dapper in a deep blue suit, matching tie, and white inner shirt. The event, held at the Regency Village Theatre, saw the 52-year-old walking with a cane in his right hand and holding his daughter Ava Berlin in his left.

He also alternated between using the cane and a knee scooter as he moved down the carpet, giving the paparazzi a thumbs-up at one point. The "American Hustle" actor initially announced his presence at the event on his Instagram Story, sharing a picture of the blue carpeted walkway alongside the words: "Rocking the blue carpet tonight !!!! Ready for this amazing event."
