The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's decision to wear jewelry gifted by King Charles III during a recent outing has sparked public curiosity. The dynamics between her family and the senior royals have been tumultuous since she and Prince Harry stepped down from their royal roles in 2020.
Writer Omid Scobie's new book has added to the uncertainty as the bombshells within the work have further intensified the scrutiny of the relationship between the Sussexes and the royal establishment.
Is Meghan Markle Trying To Extend An Olive Branch To King Charles?
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan appears to have sent a subtle message to King Charles amid the fallout from Omid Scobie's recent royal book, “Endgame.”
During a recent outing, the mother of two was seen wearing a Bentley & Skinner diamond line tennis bracelet, reportedly a gift from her father-in-law upon joining the royal family.
Crafted by royal warrant holders, the bracelet boasts ninety-two round brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling an estimated 2 carats in weight. It is also set in a white gold open-back mount with a yellow gold push clasp and two figure-of-eight safety catches.
Meghan first wore the expensive jewelry on the eve of her royal wedding. Its reappearance is now sparking speculation that the former "Suits" actress intends to signal a willingness to resolve tensions between her family and The Firm permanently.

What Else Did Meghan Markle Wear?
It is unclear where Meghan was heading when she was spotted. However, it likely wasn't anywhere formal as she was dressed in very casual clothing.
She opted for an all-black outfit, pairing black leggings that rose above her ankle with a plain black long-sleeve shirt that she rolled up to her elbows. She added to the attire a green baseball cap that covered her luscious curls while she shielded her eyes with a pair of Krewe sunglasses.
Meghan also donned a pair of New Balance trainers, making her feet comfortable as she walked the tarred road. She held in her hands her iPhone 14 Pro housed in a Bottega Veneta phone case. She was seen texting on the phone on some occasions during the walk.
Claims From Omid Scobie's Book About The Royals
Meghan's recent public appearance is the first she has made since Scobie put the royal family on the media hot seat with his book's release late last month.
The book made many claims, including that the Sussexes are "still hurt" and that there was a six-month delay in conferring royal titles upon their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, following King Charles' ascension.
Besides feeling hurt about the delay, Scobie also said that the Sussexes started to think their kids were treated differently compared to their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Prince William's offspring.
Elsewhere in the book, Scobie claimed that King Charles called Harry "that fool" in the wake of the debut of his Netflix documentary. He also alleged that the Prince of Wales "prioritized his loyalty to the monarchy" over his brother and actively tried to undermine the Sussexes by releasing information about them to the media.
How Harry, Meghan, And The Royal Family Have Reacted To Omid Scobie's New Book
In the meantime, sources close to Prince Williams have refuted the allegations against him in the book, although he has yet to make any comments.
"[Prince Williams] has always been very tight-lipped when it comes to his family and made clear to anyone within his orbit that he would not do 'deals' with the media," they said, per Daily Mail.
Another source stated that Scobie "totally fabricated" his claims, adding that he was peddling "conspiracy theories dressed up as fact."
Meghan and Harry also seem to have taken the high road on the matter, as neither they nor their reps have responded to Scobie's claims about them in the book.
However, there is potential for a lawsuit against Scobie, as the Dutch translation of his latest book, "Endgame," names King Charles and Princess Kate as the senior royals who expressed "concerns" about Archie's skin color.
Meghan initially made these claims during her televised interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 but refrained from disclosing specific individuals involved at that time. She and her husband later released a statement claiming that the individuals were not King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth.
