Jonathan Majors Trial Day 5: Accuser's Testimony Continues, Actor Told To Honor Temporary Restraining Order

The fifth day of Jonathan Majors' trial continues with the cross-examination of the actor's ex-girlfriend and accuser, Grace Jabbari, who took the stand on Tuesday to testify against the Marvel star.

Jabbari, during Day 4 of her testimony, accused the actor of having a raging temper and abusing her early on in their relationship. She claimed Majors called himself a "monster" and made her feel like she had to "walk on eggshells" in his presence.

In the latest hearing, Jabbari was asked about her time at the hospital, what it was like when the police arrived at the scene, and how the media coverage of the case has affected her.

She began her testimony by emphasizing that the actor "knows what he's done" to her and that she reached out to him after the alleged attack to gain some "closure." Jabbari also claimed that she didn't involve the police at first due to Majors being a "Black man."

Taking the stand on Wednesday for her second day of testimony, a visibly emotional Jabbari slammed Majors, claiming that he knows what he has done to her.

"He knows what he's done: He's cheated on me, he's attacked me," she told the jury, making a reference to the night when Majors allegedly attacked her in a car by pulling her fingers, twisting her arms behind her back, and hitting her face multiple times.

She claimed that the morning after the alleged attack, she contacted Majors in an attempt to gain some closure. "I think I'd made a really clear determination in my mind that this was not a good relationship," Jabbari said, as reported by People magazine.

According to Jabbari, who had returned to their home, she felt she never wanted to see the actor again, but knew that as adults, they "should talk" things through. The dancer revealed that she eventually fell asleep while contemplating packing out of the penthouse she had moved into with Majors, feeling "really drained" and overwhelmed.

Jabbari told the jury that she locked the doors before falling asleep because she "knows the defendant" and "in order to feel safe, I needed everything locked."

Jabbari later woke up surrounded by emergency personnel whom Majors called in after attempting to get into the locked room. Jabbari recounted how she worried about divulging information about the event due to Majors, who was in the next room.

"I alluded to it in the safest way I felt possible," Jabbari claimed, "I just wanted to say help me, please." The dancer, a White woman, then stated that she chose not to report Majors' past violent actions because she knew he was "not trusting of police as a Black man, and [she] didn't want to put him in that position."

Following her brief interrogation on that day, the emergency personnel took photos of her injuries, admitted her to a hospital, and shortly after, Majors was arrested.

Speaking of her fears for him, Jabbari said, "I loved him still, it was so confusing and I didn't want to get him in trouble."

During Jabbari's cross-examination, she detailed how she learned about Majors' arrest. The Marvel star was taken into custody in March over the alleged attack on Jabbari during an incident that went down inside a vehicle. Afterward, Majors was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment.

Jabbari, in her tearful state, claimed in court that she learned of Majors' arrest while at a hospital where she was allegedly getting a splint put on her right finger. The professional dancer said she was sad about Majors' arrest and felt she should have lied to protect him.

She told the jury, "I just felt really sad, I felt like it was my fault," adding, "I felt like I should have just lied so he wouldn't get in trouble."

A few months after Majors' headline-grabbing arrest, which has placed a significant dent in his career, the actor filed a cross-complaint, alleging that he was the actual victim of Jabbari's attack on that fateful night. This led to his ex-girlfriend getting arrested in October, but she was not prosecuted for the case, which has now been sealed.

During her Wednesday testimony, Jabbari emphasized that she is a very private person and that the trial of Majors has brought her unwanted attention and placed pressure on her to share details of the event with her family members.

"It's a lot of unwanted attention over a very difficult part of my life. I had to tell friends and family everything and that has been really hard," Jabbari told the jury, per reports. She added, "It felt like that abuse that I was in has just not ended."

She noted, per People, that around 30 or 40 reporters wielding cameras stood outside the police precinct on the day of her arrest, bringing her more unwanted attention.

The presiding judge, Judge Michael Gaffey, reminded Majors during the Wednesday hearing to continue honoring the temporary restraining order that was granted to Jabbari in April following her assault allegations against her ex-lover.

"Yes, your honor," Majors said in a response to Judge Gaffey regarding the TRO. The judge then stated, "I know you're going to abide by it as you have for the [entirety] of the case."

Majors' lawyers have since argued his innocence in court, alleging during their opening statements on Monday that the actor was a victim of a vengeful ex-girlfriend seeking to defame him for being allegedly unfaithful in their relationship.
