Hollywood star Jonathan Majors' domestic violence trial took a significant turn today as his accuser, identified as Grace Jabbari, gave her testimony.
The prosecution questioned Jabbari following yesterday's opening statement that set the pace for the trial. Majors, who has consistently proclaimed his innocence since his March arrest, could face up to a year in prison if found guilty at the end of the trial.
Jonathan Majors' Accuser Grace Jabbari Testifies About Their Relationship
Majors's day in court saw his accuser, Grace Jabbari, take to the stand to recount moments from their relationship prior to their altercation in March, per Deadline.
The female dancer claimed to have met the "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star during the filming of the Marvel film in the UK back in 2021." After initially spending almost every day together, their relationship allegedly turned abusive, with Majors displaying a "cruel and manipulative pattern."
Jabbari cited one instance in 2022 when she attended the Glastonbury festival with friends. At the time, the actor reportedly "scared" her with his spiteful remarks about an ex-boyfriend and heavily criticized her for going to the event.
On another occasion, Majors was said to have berated her after a visit from a friend, leading to a fight between them. However, they reconciled amid pleas from the actor for her not to make their altercation known to anyone.

Jabbari's testimony is expected to play a major part in proving whether Majors' is innocent or guilty. Back in March, the actor was charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment. This includes three counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and three counts of attempted assault in the third degree.
The charges stemmed from a domestic dispute he had with Jabbari that reportedly left her with minor injuries to her head and neck as well as a finger fracture.
Months after his initial arrest, Majors filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari for assault. However, the DA's office chose not to pursue the matter and recently shared that their decision not to do so was not a quid pro quo" for using Jabbri's testimony to build their case against Majors.
Jonathan Majors' Lawyer Says He Is Innocent
Majors has continued to maintain his innocence and has no plans to recant, as seen by the opening statement of his lawyer, Priya Chaudry.
The female defense attorney told the court that Jabbari's reports to the police on the night of the incident were all "false statements to take away everything [Majors] has spent his whole life working for," per Deadline.
She added, "This is a case about the end of a relationship, not about a crime — at least not one that Mr. Majors committed. This man is innocent."
Chaudry also told the jury that they should remain focused on the facts of the case, adding that the prosecution will try to "distract" them with "stories about the months and years prior to that incident."
Meanwhile, the prosecution claimed that the incident of that day was the culmination of a relationship rooted in "domestic violence" perpetrated by Majors against Jabbari over their time together.
The Marvel Star Faces Up To A Year In Prison If Found Guilty
It is still unclear how the jury of six will vote at the end of the trial. However, if Majors is found guilty, he could face up to a year behind bars. In the meantime, the actor has suffered the loss of numerous opportunities since the charges were brought against him
He was removed from an upcoming film adaptation of Walter Mosley's 2004 novel and is no longer considered to star in a biopic about the late musician Otis Redding. His proposed feature in an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team has also fallen through.
Amid the loss of these projects, the company that represented the "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star, along with his manager, took the decision to sever their ties with him. The actor also stepped down from being a member of the Gotham Film and Media Institute board.
