Actor Jonathan Majors' domestic assault trial took a poignant twist as his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbaritearfully took the stand to testify against him, revealing that his disposition towards her changed from love to rage.
Jabbari insisted that their tumultuous relationship took a toll on her, as she recounted alleged instances of abuse, including the actor calling himself a "monster" and threatening to take his life.
She recounted a particular scenario where she attempted to check his phone after an inciting message popped in but was left wrangling in pain after he "pulled" and "twisted" her arm.
Both the defense and the prosecutors now claim that video footage from the night of the event will help support their case.
Grace Jabbari Testifies Against Jonathan Majors
The "Creed III" actor's girlfriend took to the stand in a Lower Manhattan courtroom to testify against him over the happenings and situation surrounding their union at the time. He's been sued for and faces three charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, and harassment.
During her tearful testimony, Jabbari detailed multiple incidents that she claimed were instances of domestic assault, especially in one where he assaulted her in the back seat of a car. She said that she had seen a text on his phone from another woman that read, "I wish I was kissing you right now."
She recalled grabbing the phone from Majors' hands to get more clarity on the issue, only for him to "pull" and "twist" her arm as she reportedly felt a "hard blow" on her face.
"The pain wasn't registering," she shared. "I was aware there was pain in my body, but I hadn't registered anything. I'm a dancer. I've danced with a broken rib."
"I was only thinking from my heart of the infidelity," Jabbari added. "That morning, we were talking about when we were going to get married and the names of our [future] children."

The dance instructor went on to recount how their relationship started and how sweet and easygoing it was from afar. Jabbari noted that Majors was a sweet soul at first but reportedly changed for an unknown reason.
"He was really kind and loving. He told me he loved me very early on, which was overwhelming, but I loved it. And I loved him," she testified in court. "He wrote me poetry. I felt very loved and cared for and seen."
Jabbari detailed a scenario where she was to meet his dogs and had mistakenly made mention of her ex's pet, which seemingly garnered his ire and made her decide not to repeat it again.
"He has dogs, which I love, but I'd never met these dogs before and they are protective dogs, which is something that was important to him, to have protective dogs. I was trying to understand what that meant," she recounted.
Jabbari continued, "The mention of the ex, how dare I mention him, how dare I talk about his dog, like talking about the [physical] appearance of my ex, talking about how it's embarrassing for him that I dated him … his dog is pathetic, all this kind of stuff."
"It was the first time I felt scared of him," she said. "I knew to never mention my ex again or anyone I had dated before." The pair met on the set of "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" in 2021, where Majors played a major acting role and Jabbari worked as a movement coach.
During her emotional testimony, Jabbari also claimed that Majors branded himself a "monster" and threatened to commit suicide in a fit of rage. "He said he was a monster and he wanted to kill himself and he put actions in place to do so," she alleged, adding that she walked "around on eggshells" when with Majors and needed always to be "perfect."
The Marvel Star's Attorney Claims He Was The Victim
The actor's defense team presented its case shortly after the trial began, arguing that Jabbari was the aggressor in the alleged incidents of abuse that occurred on that fateful night. They also claimed that there may be a racial bias factor in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, hinting that the prosecution is against Majors because he is a Black man.
In June, Priya Chaudhry, one of the actors' lawyers, filed a countersuit against Jabbari, which led to a police investigation. However, the DA's office quickly announced that it wouldn't pursue these allegations. Once the investigation began, Jabbari was reportedly very cooperative and even turned herself into custody.

The DA's office has since released a statement, noting that it has "officially declined to prosecute the case against Grace Jabbari because it lacks prosecutorial merit." However, the presiding judge, Judge Michael Gaffey's initial ruling in the case, means that the jurors will still be informed about Jabbari's arrest.
Judge Gaffey also, enforced a seal on "prejudicial" evidence in Majors' case, noting that it could hamper Majors' chances of having a fair trial.
